Tom Higginbotham is the owner/operator of The Blind Man, a small business outside Birmingham, AL. He provided the entire service for our shutters, from measuring to installation. We knew nothing about the various aspects and types of shutters and he came to our empty home to educate us on type (wood/vinyl), style (with raising/lowering bar visible or not) and other points to consider when buying shutters for a whole house which can be seen from every room. He is professional, punctual and meticulous in his measuring and preparation and installation. The shutters are made locally and have exceeded my expectations. I am thrilled with the way they look and am pleased to have taken his advice. We chose not to order a fan style for a high window that he did ask about and recommend, but I wanted the light from the window. However, he was correct that it is a western exposure and we had a late afternoon glare daily until we ordered the unit he had recommended! Tom is pleasant and informative and I would highly recommend him and his company for shutters (he also does other window treatments).
