The service provided is excellent. We have never had an issue or problem. Her service is prompt and efficient. My pet's adore her and we totally trust our pets in her care. We often foster rescue dogs and Ms. Sherry has treated them with kindness and provides us updates on how they were doing when she visited our home. I won't trust anyone else but Ms. Sherry and her team of pet sitting professionals.

I have used Sherry for many years and she is great, She loves animals and is very patient with our shy cat to gain her trust. She is very dependable, keeps me updated and sends me pics of our kitty when she actually sees her. Ha! She also leaves a checklist for every day she was here what time of day she came and what she did. It even tells how our Kitty ate and pooped! I totally trust Sherry with the well being of our cat and coming into our house. She has gone to the trouble to have CPR training for animals and has taken care to be licensed and offers to show you references if you like. Sherry will sit down with you for a first time meeting before you actually use her. She will answer any questions you have and talk with you about any concerns you may have leaving your pets in her care. She tells you up front what she charges and what responsibilities come with that. There are no surprises. We will be moving out of state soon and I hate the fact that we will lose Sherry as our sitter. She will be hard to replace!

I booked pet sitting with Sherry approx 3-4 wks before the Christmas Holiday. I didn't know the exact dates so I booked what dates I thought it would be and told her I would confirm as it got closer. She stated no problem. In the mean time, I asked if she could watch them over a weekend before the holiday to make sure everyone was comfortable with everything since she hadn't watched them before. She stated that she would not be in town that weekend, but had another girl that could watch them. The same one that would watch them at Christmas. She gave me her number and told me to call her....I did. The girl never got back to me until a week and a half later, then she realized that the message was old and called me back to ask me not to tell Sherry. In the mean time, Sherry gave me another number to call, which I did and the lady and her daughter came out. They were very pleasant and I have no doubt would have done a good job. So at that time I felt a little better but still a little uncomfortable about all the run around with different folks. Anyway, booked Christmas dates (10 nights), my friend at work agreed to watch them over New Years which helped with the expense. So I asked the girl that was suppose to come out if she would mind if I gave my friend her number in case of emergency. She texted me back and said Sherry told her they couldn't since it was a liability issue. So I called Sherry myself and asked if we could sign a liability form so that wouldn't be a problem. (I do understand the liability issue but offered to relieve her of it) She told me that she would not be an and quot;emergencyand quot; sitter if someone else was going to watch them. Maybe I am wrong, but pet sitting is somewhat an emergency task. When I finally got a word in, I asked if it was because I wasn't using her for those last few days, she said yes. I then stated I needed to talk to my husband. I actually was going to see if he just wanted to book the whole time with her to save the argument, but she told me if I had to talk to my husband she didn't need my business and to find someone else. (5 days before Christmas) I then told her what I had planned to talk to him about, she said, oh you didn't say that. Well, she didn't give me a chance to say it. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional and left us hanging at a time that it is hard to get a pet sitter, all because my friend was going to watch them for a few days. We had the same dog sitter for 7 years until she retired and we never had any issues. This sitter is not organized and was extremely rude when it was not called for, please think twice before using her.

Update: This review resulted in a text from the owner stating she was taking me court. In my opinion, this defeats the purpose of Angie's list for open comments about services provided.

Sherry is a wonderful pet sitter and very professional! She has cared for our cats many, many times and always provides excellent care, is very responsive, and prepares daily, informative, and fun logs about the kitties while under her care. She also provides us periodic updates and pictures via text or phone which are greatly appreciated. She has worked her magic on our very shy kitty, and with every visit, he's becoming a little more social each time. I would most definitely recommend Sherry for your pet sitting needs.

I contacted Sherry last summer when I was having some health issues. I have 3 dogs and I also run a cat rescue, so I have lots of cats as well. Because of my illness, I wasn't able to walk my dogs or clean out the cat litter boxes, and I just needed some help! I contacted several pet sitters via Angie's List, and Sherry was the ONLY one who responded. I met with her and Tamara so that they could meet my dogs and get an idea of what the job would entail. Cleaning multiple litter boxes is not an easy task, believe me!
Tamara was my designated dog-walker, and she has been wonderful! My dogs love her so much that I have continued using her even though I've recovered -- so, about a year now. She is always on time, and she's very conscientious.
I can't thank Sherry enough for helping me out when I needed it the most, and when no one would even respond to my request for service. I doubt I'd ever use anyone else.

This was our first experience with a pet sitter and we are happy it was with Sherry. From the get-go, Sherry was professional and responsive. We set up a 'meet 'n greet', went over where the necessary items were (litter box, scoop, food, treats, etc.) and she met our cat Mocha. Because our cat stresses easily we have always opted in-home care while we are away. Normally, my sister does this for us, but since we are now in AL (and she's in CA) we had to look to alternative care. However, Sherry did a fantastic job! She left detailed reports of her visit and took the time to engage with our cat. She also brought in our mail and took out our trash for collection...top notch service and worth every penny.
We are moving from Madison and are sooooooo bummed that she does not provide service in Athens (where we are moving to). I would highly recommend Comforts of Home pet sitting services.

From our intitial contact with Sherry to our return home, everything was exceptional! Sherry is very professional, prompt, responsive, and you can really tell that she really loves animals. She was also very accommodating in meeting our specific requests. During our time away, we received several texts with pictures of the kitties playing and having a great time. We felt assured the furry children were getting lots of TLC in addition to their basic needs being met. We were also amazed that our gentle, but shy rescue feral kitty, came out of hiding to visit with Sherry and join in the fun! We were very pleased upon our return to find detailed daily visit logs about the services provided and great notes about the kitties and how they were doing. Sherry also contacted us the day of our scheduled return to make sure we were home and offered to extend services if need be. We highly recommend Sherry for your pet sitting needs!

Sherry was great. I was very worried leaving my pet at home alone for so long, but Sherry kept me informed the whole time about how well my pet was doing. I would have been a mess without her sending updates and letting me know that my pet was doing just fine.
I have boarded my pet before, but now that I have this option of leaving her at home, I will always choose to use Sherry in the future.

About 2 and a half years ago, I started searching for a dog sitter who would meet the needs of my senior Black Lab (13 years old) Morgan and meet the requirements I had in mind for someone who would be caring for my baby. I called The Comforts of Home Pet Sitting and spoke with Sherry. She immediately coordinated a and quot;meet and greetand quot; to meet Morgan and to provide documentation of her certifications. Morgan immediately took to Sherry and Sherry provided a calm, happy interaction with Morgan. For nearly two and a half years, Sherry visited Morgan every Monday thru Friday and even on some weekends. She spent the time with Morgan that Morgan required and I was completely comfortable knowing that Sherry was checking in on Morgan every day while I was at work. I couldn't have asked for/received a better pet sitter. Sherry was always accommodating, and communicated early and often...especially regarding Morgan's moods and if she noticed something out of the ordinary. Sherry is Morgan's angel here on earth...

We found Sherry through Angie's list and we couldn't be anymore pleased. She came over a few days ahead of time and got to know us and our pets. I could tell instantly that she has a genuine love for animals. She is accessible 24 hrs a day by cellphone if you have a concern about your pet while out of town.

I have already asked her to sit for us again next week. I trust her with my babies 100%!

I am very pleased with her service. She is very professional and dependable. She is very good with my animals. She really enjoys her job and keeps me posted on how things are going. I would recommend Cherry to anyone.

Sherry comes by our home once a day to let our dogs out. She makes sure they have adequate water, inside and out. She makes sure each of the dogs have completed their "business". She is totally trustworthy and I have no issues having her come into my home. I trust her totally with my dogs. She leaves reports on anything usual that may have happened while she visits and will call or text message us of any problems. We have been using her service for over a year now and have never had a problem. She has backup sitters if she is going to be out of town. I totally recommend her without qualification!

Outstanding! She has a gift with animals and is an extremely trustworthy and reliable person. You can tell right away that she really cares about their wellbeing. She is extremely professional and comes by for an introductory meeting so she can meet with the pets and learn about their habits and needs. She will also take care of the home and turn lights on and off and pick up mail for you. You can leave knowing your pets and home are in good hands. When you get back, she has a report for you and she will even send you photos and emails of how they are doing while you are away.
