About us
Steelsafe Shelters provides FEMA compliant steel storm shelters via lowes.com, Lowe's retail locations throughout the Southeast, and through dealer and builder wholesale. Since 2010 Steelsafe Shelters has provided and installed over 3500 shelters. We work with 90% of the homebuilders in our local markets, and nationally with a few of the nation's top builders. We work closely with our customers throughout the process to ensure the job is handled accurately and punctually, typically requiring a single day to install. We manufacture and install in house using teams of trained professionals from the start of the build to the clean up at the installation site. We offer 3 standard styles, Underground Garage Shelters, Above Ground Safe Rooms, and Below Ground Exterior Shelters. Each of our styles come in 3 various sizes, and we also fabricate custom sizes and community shelters with the space to accommodate 100+ persons. We install new construction, prior to building the home/pouring garage slab, or after home completion. We offer several payment options, allowing our customers the benefit of split payments and long term financing.
