After 11K in charges the oil still leaked - but even worse. They apparently mentioned that additional work would need to be done on the flywheel assembly (while they already had the entire thing torn down) and that JUST the parts were going to be an additional $500 and then their $175/hour rate times however many hours it was going to take to do the work - quoting as if they were going to have to do it from scratch when they were already in the engine to replace the rear main seal and the clutch. They had the truck for over 3 weeks and my driver lost out on revenue during that time. He opted to not have the flywheel done for a minimum of $500 while in there because they said that the leak was not significant enough to need it done at that time if they weren't trying to spend the additional money at the moment. After paying $11K for the work they did, the three weeks of lost revenue, my driver got back on the road and not 30 miles down the road the oil was almost non-existent and needed to be filled. They insisted they topped it off. How do you say a leak is not significant enough to do at that time if you don't want to spend the extra money (which would have been more than another grand to fix at the time) yet now the oil leak is greater than it was when it was first brought in? Very specifically, the question was asked repeatedly about service warranty and they responded with the parts are warrantied for a year. I'm sorry, but I want to know about the SERVICE warranty. Today, after having the truck back at Nextran for ANOTHER WEEK, $345 more to run a diagnostic on it to see why and where it is leaking oil. RIDICULOUS! Don't tell someone a leak is insignificant at the time if it really isn't. We could have opted to have that work done at the time for over $1000 while they were already in there. Instead, $345 now and then a MINIMUM Of $3500 to fix it in the future. Time for a new truck! BUT... even more time for a new mechanic. Don't get there if you don't want to be taken for a ride!
