Lynton and his tile professionals did amazing. Lynton is a perfectionist and it shows with the amazing work he and his tile setters did. They cleaned up at the end of every work day and answered all of our questions. They did such a great job that we are having them come back to tile our stair risers.

This time Matt did the tile laying for us, rather than Mr. Charles. The work was just as professional. Matt was very personable, was always more than willing to answer our questions, and always kept us informed as to the progress of the project. The job took a little longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. Still when the job was complete I was more than satisfied with the project. Both rooms look beautiful and L and G Tile was also able to eliminate a loud squeak in the upstairs bedroom floor. The transition from the ceramic tile in the hallway to the tile in the bedroom is perfect. I have a couple of more tile projects that I want done... and when the time comes to start those I would not consider any company other than L and G Tile.

Mr. Lynton Charles of L and G Tile knows his craft, thoroughly. He showed up exactly on time for the estimate. He was very knowledgeable on the matter at hand and showed us some options that we had not previously considered. The other tile companies that I contacted said that I would have to contact a separate company to remediate the urine soaked carpet. Mr Charles said that was just "part of the job." Other flooring companies told me that stairs could not be tiled. Mr. Charles showed me it could be done by using products specifically designed for the purpose. (I knew this was possible from watching HGTV), and Mr. Charles told me it was not uncommon where he grew up. On the upstairs balcony and bedrooms Mr. Charles used an underlayment that was more flexible and more waterproof than the standard concrete backer-board. On the stairs he mixed the thinset with a latex product to optimize the tiles as stair-treads. From the very beginning Mr. Charles and his assistant showed an uncommon attention to the detail and quality of their work. The stairs as they were... were unsuited for tile. Mr. Charles painstakingly trimmed the treads with a reciprocating saw, prior to prepping them for tile. We decided on a wood-grain pattern ceramic tile pattern for the stairs and balcony. Mr. Charles suggested that it would look more like real wood if he staggered the tiles. He did this not only on the balcony but on each step. It took a lot more work this way but the results are beautiful. We chose a wood grain tile for the treads and a complementary slate for the stair faces and a different slate tile for the bedrooms. Again, Mr. Charles' input was invaluable. Mr. Charles did an excellent job of laying the quite varied tile in the most aesthetic fashion. Mr. Charles also added a sealing agent to the grout to help protect us from future feline depredations. Mr. Charles also cut and installed a tile border around the stairs. His detail work around the edges and banister is very impressive. His transitions from tiled room to tiled room and from tile to carpeted room are seamless. From the beginning of this process to the end (about 2 weeks) Mr. Charles was professional, personable, and helpful. He is an excellent communicator and he described all aspects of the work as well as any possible options available to us. He obviously takes (deserved) pride in his work and takes the time to ensure the job is done right. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with and I think I can safely say that he is the most honest contractor that I have encountered. Sometime in the near future I am planning on having some more tile work done... I would not consider anyone other than Mr. Lynton Charles at L And G Tile.

It was flawless and the workmanship was perfect!!! Lynton raised the shower head for me and installed new brushed nickel shower head and water controls. Lynton installed an alcove for soap and shampoo storage along with mosaic tile accents. He insured the bench was slightly slanted along with the shelf in the alcove so there would not be any standing water. The raised boarder was also slanted slightly so water would flow toward the drain. The quality of work is unsurpassed. We are extremely pleased.

Quickly responded to request for estimate - I provided the tiles and grout - job was completed quickly (very flexible - he came out on a Sunday) and he did a good job cleaning up. Will definitely use again and recommend.

The work was done well with no issues with the new floor or wall tile.

The process was flawless.  The results were better then we could have ever expected.  Lynton was very professional, knowledgeable and ensured the tile was laid to allow for proper drainage away from the house.  We are very pleased and will call on Lynton again for any additional tile work.

Lynton was great to work with. It took a few weeks after I approved the quote to get on the docket, but he worked diligently to get the job done. The grout ended up being a little lighter than i had envisioned, and within a day or two he was back out correcting it.

First of all, I'd like to say that Mr. Charles' expertise in tiling exceeded my expectations. He was very professional from start to finish. He provided a detailed estimate with no hidden fees or gray areas; you knew up front what you were paying for and the services that he could and would provide. He's like a one stop shop with the painting, plumbing and tiling. Secondly, he started at the precise time that he stated and was always very courteous and friendly; he is very pleasant to work with and ensures that he's customizing not only to your needs but to your tastes as well. I stepped out of the box with a particular style of tile, but when he laid it out for me, it was nothing less than classy and elegant. Thirdly, he's very meticulous and a perfectionist in all that he does. Lastly, he's happy when his customers are happy and I'm one happy customer. What I liked most about Lynton, is that he has a great visionary eye when it comes to pulling different tiles and looks together. In fact, I have two other projects already lined up and can't wait to work with him again in the future. This business owner comes highly recommended.
