I expect professional quality work from professionals. This job was not. When I inspected the work in the crawl space,to my disbelief the work looked not only incomplete and sloppy but dangerous. One of the vents was not sealed. I could see daylight under the crawl space so I know humidity would leak in and negate the dehumidifier. The next day I contacted the office and complained and the owner called me back and said that?s not the way they do business and said it would be fixed the next day. The electrical was ?fixed? the next day. I crawled under the house for the final time to double check their work. The previously undone vent was sealed and the outlet boxes were mounted. Still a messy job site under the house though: There were three yellow caps (from the sealing foam cans) lying around and some plastic wrapping lay up on the sill plate. They can?t seem to pick up after themselves? The electrical work looked better but still not quite as good as it should be. The strain relief tab in the electrical box had been broken out? The tab is supposed to be left there to hold the insulation on the Romex so the strain is not on the copper wire connections. It?s not what I expected for the $6881 but after dealing with all the problems, I gave up, ?settled? and decided to leave it alone. My suspicion is most people won't or don't crawl under their house and inspect the work. There was no quality check by the company itself, otherwise they would not have left it to me to double check their work. I had their sister company Alabama Foundation Specialist do some work the previous month and they did poor quality work as well. They actually started this job without my permission. I won't even consider using them again.
