ENCHANTED FOREST

These guys are expensive but they're good!  In the Fall of 2014, we asked Enchanted Forest to propose a complete re-do of our flower beds, which were 14+ years old and had become overgrown and untidy.  We liked their proposal although the price was a little eye-popping -- over $2500.  But it included all new borders and a 1-year Warranty in case any of the plants died.  So we went ahead.

Their crew arrived when promised and did the work in a day.  They removed the old borders and all the old plants except for 4 large bushes we had agreed too keep.  They tilled the beds, put in the new borders, planted several dozen new plants, re-routed the drainage, and mulched everything.  We were very pleased.

Over the winter, several plants did indeed die.  But when we called them they came out right away and replaced them.  It is now early May and the flowers are looking as good as we had hoped.

The sod was beautiful...green and freshly cut.  Jonathan, who delivered it,  was excellent....he hand-placed each piece in a stack on my property.  He was extremely courteous and professional.

I called Enchanted forest to get an estimate on a landscape job for my home. Others do this for free, however enchanted forest charges $50.00 for this service. I saw this as a positive and liked the fact that they saw their services as valuable and I suspected that they would do a better job.
Made an appointment and Ann came over and looked at the yard and did some measurements and told me that the design would be ready in two weeks. I took over three weeks but that was fine as it was the busy time of the year. They gave us a drawing of what they wanted to do and we looked at it and had many questions. First was the issue of a boarder. She told us what the boarder would look like but never showed us anything. We told her we wanted informal but still she could not show us what she was giving us an estimate for. She showed us a catalog and told us that this is what we have to work with. In looking at the catalog we saw nothing we liked. The next week I took a drive to a Hardscape yard to look at stone and boarder rocks and was surprised to see the selections as we were led to believe that all they had was what was in the catalog. We arranged for Ann to meet us at the rock yard. She told us that they could get anything we saw there. Since the estimate she gave us had a combined price for the boarder and the labor I asked for a breakdown so that I would know about how much I had to spend on stone and keep the price about the same. After several calls and three weeks she still did not have the price of materials. At that point we decided to cancel the job and have someone else do it. When I contacted Live Oak to come out and look at it I was surprised how much I was paying for a boarder. They could do both front and back for not much more than Enchanted Forest was charging for just the front yard. When we were looking at how much less rock would be I told the man at the yard how much we were quoted and he said let me guess, Enchanted Forest? He just said we hear that a lot.
I would have no problem buying plants from Enchanted Forest where I take the plants and stick them in the ground, but for any work to be done I would stay away as the service does not cut it. You do not do an estimate for a landscape job and in essence tell you we can not show you what you will get, you will see it when we do it. No way Jose. I want to know what I am paying for and Enchanted Forest was unable or unwilling to tell me.

I had no complaints I would give the A's across the board and I will continue to use them in the future.

The cold that winter split the main leader and the leader died. I went back to the store and asked the owner if he could come look at the tree and give me his opinion as to the future looks and life of the tree. He never showed up. The tree took two years to recover and still has no central leader. I would not say the guarantee was honored. I will never buy anything from them again.

Overall, good products and prices. Lousy service with NO follow up.

It's a good company and they do a good job. We are enjoying the nice colors in the landscape that they done. Their prices are good and the quality of their work is excellent.

When they finished the job and got back to the nursery. The owner realized they did not use all the mulch because the flower beds were all full. The owner brought me a check for the unused mulch. I did not know that they did not need to use it all and appreciated him doing that.

They were punctual. We had talked to three or four landscapers and they managed to do the job much quicker than anybody else would have. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves. They came out with the best price too. They called us and let us know whenever they were late.

I should've known better than to trust these people again after being lied to by them in the past, however, they had a Helix Fountain that I really liked at a fair price, so I bought it and had it delivered. 3 weeks later, the pump stopped completely. I went by the store and asked what to do. The girl explained that she would take my name and number and have the manager call me. Two weeks later, I never heard anything so I went in again. Again, she took my name and number and this time told me to bring the pump in. The fountain weighs a few hundred pounds--thus the reason I paid for them to deliver it--yet I was being told to take it apart to get the pump out and bring it in. Well, obviously, I could not lift it myself, so a couple of weeks later, I had a friend come over and help me. I then took the defective pump in and was told that nothing can be done after 30 days!NEVER trust anything that they tell you or think that they will stand behind their products because they will NOT! They have burnt me even worse in the past on plants and landscape drawings and I should have known better.
