No complaint with the work performed, however, we thought the price was on the high side.  Again, the work was done well.

However, I'd like to add what happened the next two times we contacted this service provider:  About two years ago, we needed some work done at our rental property, so we called Brown's Electric again.  Mr. Brown came out to the site and gave us his estimate.  We thought it was VERY high this time, so we did not have the work done at all.  Last year we needed another estimate.  Don't remember if it was for our residence or our rental.  After leaving a message with his receptionist/secretary/wife (?), he called us back.  He said he remembered me from the previous estimate.  I don't remember the exact words of his side of the conversation, but the gist of it was, IMO:  "You didn't accept my estimate, and I can't go and spend time giving estimates without an agreement that I get the job."  Again, just my opinion.

I fully understand that if a service provider spends all his/her time going to and from sites to give estimates, then doesn't get the job, he/she won't be in business for very long.  Even though we thought him high on his prices, we still wanted to use him, a local business person (small business owner), rather than a bigger outfit.   Out of the two times we called him for work to be done, we agreed to one, but not the other.  I guess, with some service providers, they want you to agree with every estimate.  Unfortunately, we will not be using this service provider again.

Over a span of a few days, our TV quit working, our washer and dryer began working only intermittently and finally, the power to our bathrooms went out. We called a national company who told us if we did not get it fixed by the next day, the house could blow up! Oh, and they wanted $3500.00 to fix it. We found Mr. Brown on Angie's List and he came right over. After hearing our story and inspecting our property, he determined that we had been hit by lightning. That caused the bottom 3 breakers in the breaker box to actually fuse shut. He told us we would be OK for a few days until he could get everything he needed and come back and fix it. He came back on the scheduled day and completed the work on time as promised. He even spoke to our insurance representative and explained the situation to them. Our total out of pocket expense was $500.

He is an independent. I don't dislike anything about him. He is a great guy. He is very honest. He does the work at a fair price. He is punctual. I would use him in the future.
