The staff of AHCC has ALWAYS been supremely professional, but caring. They provide your options and the prices for each, without pushing any one particular option. I truly appreciate that about their service. We had our 15-yr old retriever mix put down last year after much debate. They were incredibly kind and gentle with both our dog and us. They made a difficult experience as positive as possible. That cemented my loyalty.

Went very well.  Spike was all fixed up, given antibiotics and a cone of shame to keep him from chewing off the bandages.
FYI, I graded B for price, but since I've used this vet for the last 3 or 4 years I don't have a comparison for cost.  My feeling is that all vet services are expensive.  Especially with 8 dogs.

The email notification with a link (mistakenly, I think) led me to a site for vets, not patients, that talked about "maximizing profits." And to be honest, I only met the vet (Cruzen) once. Every other time, my dog was taken somewhere in back for shots. Front desk and techs were nice, but would have liked to seen the vet.

Chipper was very sick and our regular vet could only see him if we left him at his office all day so they could squeeze him in between appointments (that's understandable since we called at the last minute, but we didn't want to put Chipper through that). So I called Dr. Cruzen's office since it was just up the road, and I was very relieved that they offered to see Chipper immediately. The receptionist was very caring (as everyone at the office was), understood the problem, and quickly scheduled the appointment for 20 minutes later. We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and the vet tech took Chipper back right away. Chipper, who cried pitifully during the car ride, immediately relaxed with the vet tech and was perfectly comfortable as she asked questions about his condition.



Dr. Cruzen then examined him and told me that the problem seemed to be with his sinuses. She explained clearly how she arrived at that conclusion and why, though she could do more tests and what they were, she wanted to treat Chipper with antibiotics and a steroid shot first, before doing anything more invasive. I was very thankful that she was so conservative. She also offered to give me an estimate of the cost of the treatment before I agreed to it. (I wish all vets and doctors did that).



While I was at Dr. Cruzen's office, I noticed numerous people bringing pets in for visits, taking boarded pets home, and everyone and their pets seemed happy and relaxed. To me, that's a sign of a great veterinarian. I remember thinking how lucky I was that I called them and that they were able to fit Chipper in. Chipper received excellent, prompt care at a good price at Dr. Cruzen's office. Thanks, Dr. Cruzen!

Dr. Cruzen and her staff are terrific. Its a stable clinic -- meaning little to no turnover of employees. I have seen the same people at this clinic for the past 3 years. THAT makes it awesome for me, as I want to know the people who are taking care of my pets. All have been friendly, courteous and obviously good at their jobs. They all care about and love animals, and that shows as well.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They spent time explaining things and answering my questions and I could tell they care about the animals.
