I am so glad that I called Archer and got a different bid than the one I received from A&M Plumbing in Alexander City, AL. Archer was way cheaper $300 vs. $750 and didn't dig up my entire yard and drive a tractor all over like A&M wanted to do. They hand dug down to my two clean outs, which were located right where I had mapped them years ago. They were down about 15-18" just like I said.
A&M Plumbing wanted to use a tractor even though I knew exactly where the clean outs were located. If I had elected to have them install the risers for easier pumping of the tank in the future the total price was going to be $2,500. The risers with Archer was only going to be $900 extra for a total cost of $1,200 vs. $2,500 with A&M. However, since my clean outs were so easy to locate and not too deep they felt the riser were not necessary unless I just had to have them.
I will use Archer for any further septic work in the future. Kenny Sherrer and his son were on time, professional and did a super job! They didn't leave a mess and cleaned up completely.
