It did not go well..I left a message and 1 week later I still hadn't heard from them, so I called again, explained what service I needed and the guy transferred me to a number where I had to leave a voicemail and I was not going through that again because I had left a previous voicemail and never got a call..I'm not going to chase after anyone to do work for me so obviously they were not interested in taking the job

Workman who did the job did an excellent job.
It was the company that was a problem.
Despite multiple requests from me for information on an order my contractor had said he had made and I had paid for, Wilson Lumber refused to respond to any of my questions, saying they would not respond to the homeowner, only the contractor.
Had they responded and told me the order had never been placed it would have saved me the $4000 I was ripped off by the contractor. Wilson's failure to disclose that no order had been placed cost me money I did not have. They were however, very quick to tell me about the lien on my home they were filing to get paid.
Bottom line, Wilson's tradesmen and women do a great job. However, the corporate business practices are designed to maximize the probability the homeowner is victimized twice by the contractor and the company.
My advice, go somewhere else who recognizes that their customer is not only the contractor doing the remodeling, but the homeowner who is writing the checks.
If you want to pay twice for something and get victimized by their corporate business practices, this is the store for you. Otherwise, beware and take your business elsewhere.

Response from Wilson Lumber Co
"Wow, this sounds like a disastrous situation and I am embarrassed to hear about it. It sounds a bit like an account issue where we are bound by law not to disclose information on an account unless you are the account owner. In any case, I am terribly sorry for what you went through and would welcome any opportunity to earn back your business. The customer is the life blood of our business and we cannot afford to lose any. We need your business. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make amends. The door had to be remade as we did not want the door knob holes. This was clearly communicated to Wilson. There were delays getting the doors we requested. I would shop around more the next time I need lumber products. I rated them overall a "b" because we finally received what we wanted
Response from Wilson Lumber Co
"I apologize for a late response but we are just now getting around to Angie's List. This is embarrassing and frustrating to see but I thank you for your honesty. I am not familiar with this situation but would love to know who the builder was so that I can look up the order and see what happened and then, make sure it does not happen again. Please feel free to call me at 256-852-7411. Doors are one of our strongest departments and I want to make sure this was an isolated incident. If there is anything we can do too earn another opportunity to your business, do not hesitate to let me know. Robb Wilson President Wilson Lumber"

Called and went into the showroom looking to buy new wooden windows. Sales staff did not seem to really want to help me as I was only looking to purchase one window as it would seem. If you are a large contractor I am sure the staff is as accommodating as they can be but for me as the home repair handyman I will not be going out of my way to purchase anything from this retailer in the future.
Response from Wilson Lumber Co
"This is completely unacceptable for us. You have my apologies. EVERY customer is important. I would love a chance to earn your business in the future. Feel free to call me directly 256-852-7411. Robb Wilson President Wilson Lumber"

Overall, a lot of aggravation and wasted time. I won't do business with them again and hopefully this will prevent someone else from experiencing the same.
