Poor work with cheap subs hired off craigslist with no experience.

Jerry Evans arrived Wed afternoon to provide estimate on two (2) small projects. Said he would provide written bid via email that night and could do the projects on Saturday. Following morning I called to find out where the bid was - he said he was too tired the night before and would send it that morning. Bid arrived via email and was missing two items from one of the projects. I called and was told by his wife that she would give him the message in a couple hours when he called in to her. Around 6 that evening I received a call from Jerry, and he said to include the two missing items would increase the bid by $30-40. I agreed to his price, and we set a start time of 9am Saturday for one of the projects. He said it would take him most of the day. Saturday morning, no call no show. I called FOUR times and left messages and still no call by 3pm when I posted this report. So much for hiring someone who supposedly has 30 years experience in the business, good references, and a good business ethic. Mr. Evans was WELL aware that I must have this one project completed on Saturday as I had a commitment with a vendor to pick up a portable stall the following day and I needed the material from the project cleared out of the barn so I could put the portable stall into the barn. Due to his no show/no call, I was not able to complete the purchase of the stall. This stall is typically a couple of thousand dollars to buy and this one was for sale at only $600, which was a significant savings to me. Mr. Evans is most definitely NOT a professional. What a disappointment! I will make sure I tell everyone I can NOT to use his services.
