My private lessons are going well. Aaron is patient and walks me through each dance component as many or few times as I need to have it explained / see it / practice it. He focuses on ensuring that I understand and can perform the basics properly, so when my skills increase and I'm able to take on more complex moves and techniques, I will be building on a solid foundation.

The group lessons that I have attended have been a fun, interactive, non-stressful way to meet fellow members/students and learn a few steps. This comes in handy come mixer time, since your partners will remember practicing with you in the group lesson and ask you to dance :)

My dance party mileage varies. I've attended and not sat down more than one song between dances for the entire 2 hour party and I've had other nights where I sat for a half hour between offers. The vast majority of the folks that attend these are friendly, engaging people. The age range seems to be high teens to septuagenarian. (I'm a mid-40's female)

I would suggest checking pricing availability each time you sign up for anything. They have initial specials where first private lesson is like $25. I saw a "foundations package" advertised on their site that comes out to $62/lesson. One time lessons are charged a $75/lesson "full rate".
