Premier Surfaces

Overall, I was very satisfied with Premier Surfaces. Lindsey was my project manager / sales associate. She met my wife and I on a Saturday morning as a special appointment (they do not have regular hours on Saturday, appointment only). I had gotten another quote from a different Granite installer that was slightly higher and they only allow you to see their slabs during the week, which is an inconvenience for me. Lindsey was very nice to us, and she answered all our questions. I felt like she went above and beyond for our whole buying experience. We picked a slab, setup a measurement appointment (really early in the morning during the week, like 7 am or earlier). The measurement appointment was on time and took a reasonable amount of time (maybe 30 minutes). My only disappointment with Premier surfaces is they sold me on their SlabSmith program which supposedly allows you to see how your countertops will look upon installation. I took this to mean it would take a photo of my kitchen, and show me exactly what it would look like in a 3d image. The reality is that it shows you a plan view (from above) of what your countertops will look like, and we chose a black granite which had minimal color variation, so it looked like a few black boxes. Lindsey sent me another version of it that had a grainier granite and it still wasn't what I expected (3d), but I could see how it could be helpful for some folks. I just didn't think it was that big of a deal. For the installation, it was relatively easy to schedule, they were supposed to be at our house at 3:15 and they were about 1 hour late, the 4 hour installation time took about 3.5 hours, and ultimately it resulted in a beautiful end product. So I think there's some room for improvement, but I still would use them again without hesitation. See photos below for before and after (also had floors done) and the photos of the Slabsmith.

Overall, this was a very good experience.

We needed to have some plumbing work done in our master bathroom, so decided to have the countertop replaced at the same time.  This led to having them all done so they would be consistent throughout the house.

We stopped at their location locally, and were met by Ashley.  She was very professional and helpful.  It was difficult to pick out a color from a small sample but she helped us make our choice.  They were cooperative in working with us to have the work done in two steps because we needed to have two countertop installed, but the third removed,  plumbing work done, then have them come back to install that countertop.  They charged us $150 for the second step, but we understood the costs involved to them so we paid it.

They sent us a picture of the slab and it looked too pink to me.  So I went back to their location and got confirmation it was ok.  Ashley was patient and supportive. 

Mike, the lead installer, and his helper were very efficient and timely.  If they were running late, Mike would call us.  On the second installation, he called twice to let us know what was happening.  This is so rare with installers!  He provided great service.

There were only two items we wish were different: 

(1)  There was a 1/4 inch gap between the right side of one counter and the wall.  This was the only bathroom where the countertop had to fit between two walls.  The gap occurred because the wall was not square.   The gentleman who did the measurement must have known this when he was here, but we did not realize there was this issue until the countertop was in.   It was explained that it is in our contract that gaps are possible, but we did not figure the gap would be that large.  I think we should have been told that there was a potential issue and work with us on a potential solution.  If a solution was not possible, then at least we would know.  This is the only reason the Quality rated a B.  The material itself is great and the other two bathrooms are beautiful.

(2)  We specifically asked for afternoon appointments, and it seemed that all we were offered were mornings. 

Except for the one gap, the countertops look great!  We have a solution we are working on to make the gap less obvious.

Good but there were some delays...nothing major.

• Very pleased with the work of Premier Surfaces.   They had to come back because I thought countertop was high on one side and they immediately sent someone to correct it.  I would definitely use them again because they stand behind their work.

Very professional. Everyone involved was very nice. I would recommend them.

It was a great experience and I've had no problems. They were very nice and knowledgeable and they cleaned up after themselves. They even sent a guy to do some touch ups on the grouting for no extra charge.

I was ready to sell my house, and the realtor told me that I needed to replace the counters with granite to get a good price. I looked on Angie's List and found Premier Surfaces. I went to visit them and spoke with a salesperson named Clayton. I described the situation to her. Within 15 minutes she had worked up a solution for me. She sent me the estimate a few days later. I accepted the estimate. About a week after that, Premier Surfaces sent someone to measure. Another week or two later, they installed the granite countertops (on a Friday). On the following Monday, their subcontractor installed the backsplash. Clayton did a fantastic job of identifying the right types of granite and tile, and the installers' work was perfect. Now the kitchen of my ordinary 1954 ranch looks like it belongs in a very upscale house, and my realtor is thrilled.

These folks do almost nothing else, so they're darned good at it! Visit the showroom and drool over the choices. They'll help you select what works for you and your budget. Measuring was electronic and completely precise. Installation was skilled, fast and clean. People were punctual, well-trained and courteous. They were also nice and lots of fun! I'm thrilled with my "dream kitchen" countertop and under hung sink!

Installation was fine.  They installed two sinks we purchased, and three sinks they provided.  In future, I would purchase all my own sinks as theirs have some minor flaws and some small pitting.  Otherwise, all went well.

They were awesome.  My experience with them was very good overall.  They were very good.  I had some issues and they responded to them.  So they came back out and looked at everything, and they just did everything.  They were just really good.  Their price was good too.

We used their company through Lowes so not sure of the break down in cost.  We were very pleased with the work and the company was great to work with.

Not much to say. They showed up on time, fixed the sink and left with everything clean and working. No drama.

Installed approx 83 sq ft granite countertops. Included custom cut for cooktop that was done on site. Very satisfied with work and service.

It was a great experience.  The initial consultation was stress-free since they really listen to what you want.  They have samples that you can borrow and also can see each type of edge offered so you can pick exactly what you want.  Their pricing is excellent.  Installation was outstanding.  It is a pleasure to recommend them.

We met Clayton in the showroom and told her that we were remodeling our kitchen.  She took the time to listen to our requirements before taking us into the warehouse to show us the various granite slabs that were available.  They had a great selection from which to choose.  Clayton also helped us with our backsplash options.
The countertop and backsplash were installed a couple of weeks after we placed the order.  Everything was completed just as Clayton had promised.  All of the installers (countertop, plumbing, and tile backsplash) were very professional and did the work in just a few days.  We are extremely happy with the results.

They had a great selection of granite, marble, and quartz to choose from.  I took one of my kitchen tiles with me and actually found a granite that matched the colors in my kitchen tile exactly.  Danielle was VERY helpful and knowledgeable in the shop, and was able to give me an estimate right there and then since I had done some crude measurements on my own and brought them with me.  The price was great that was given to me on the estimate, but the actual price ended up being a few hundred dollars lower since they re-adjusted the total based on their exact measurements.  



The gentleman that came out to create the template was very professional and knowledgeable of the equipment he was using to create the template.  Danielle sent me a picture of the actual granite and how they proposed to cut it, and lay it out.  I actually had input as to how it was to be cut before it was actually done.  However, they chose a great layout and I didn't need to make any changes.  We set a date to have it installed about a week later, and they were on time, and did a great job on the installation too.  I would definitely recommend them.

We called into the Premier Surface show-room merely to get an estimate for the supply and fitting of two new granite counter-tops for our master bathroom.
We were met by Melanie who, when told what we were looking for, suggested that we might use a large off-cut off one of their granite slabs, which would save us money. She took us into the yard to show us what was available and when I mentioned the color and grain of the granite we were looking for she took us immediately to a slab that was exactly what we were looking for (I mean EXACTLY). Not having planned to purchase, we left the show-room only to turn back two seconds later to order the vanity tops we required.
The company was a pleasure to deal with, Melanie was a great ambassador as were  the folk who measured our bathroom  and fitted the new sinks and counter-tops. We are delighted with them.
One caveat, when the two units were fitted and we looked at them for the first time they appeared to be COMPLETELY different colors. We suddenly realized that the lighting above the two vanities was also different and this had caused the optical illusion. Under identical lighting the problem disappeared.
