I put in a request for service on their web site and it went unanswered. I later called the company, spoke with the representative (owner?) and restated my request. He promised to get back to me in a "couple of days". Never called.

Very well. I received an estimate the day I called. The first scheduled work day was far too stormy to do the work, but Tom called me first thing that morning to reschedule for the next day. They arrived right on time. The tree was down by lunchtime. The trunk, having been stripped, was laid down in a very narrow strip between outbuildings and other trees. By narrow, I mean he had about 2 degrees of error available and hit the center perfectly. In my very crowded backyard no other damage was done. Which is amazing. They also trimmed up some large (8 inches or so) branches from high up (20 ft off the ground) in another tree that needed to be removed. I opted not to have them haul the debris, nor grind the stump, but the work was as tidily done as it could be. If not for the tree on the ground you would never know they had been there.

These guys are great!  Thomas Morgan from Old Town Tree is responsive, professional and takes pride in his work (as he should). This job involved coordinating with a neighbor and Thomas' diplomacy really made it happen successfully.  The price was more than fair and the end results were astounding.  Thomas' crew, Billy and Diederick did a great job - they were very knowledgeable and nice.  Billy was able to saw the trees out of the entwined mess like a surgeon.  Thanks guys!

They would like to save the tree as much as possible. They did an excellent job on the clean-up. They did a good job and they were very knowledgeable. They were safe. The price was extremely reasonable.

The tree was quite large and becoming a nuisance, with leaves and acorns getting scattered everywhere. Plus, it was damaged due to our neighbor's cutting the overhang flush with the property line. She is a psycho, but I digress. Basically, the tree was way out of balance, increasingly troublesome, and needed to come down.
The work was professional and quick. They brought a crane, and took the tree down safely and with few visible side effects. There are some small gouges in the yard where the crane was set up but that was unavoidable, and they will fill in over time.
I have used this company several times. The prices seem reasonable and in line with other companies. This is a very competent outfit and I recommend them without hesitation.

Thomas responded promptly to an email request from my wife and came by our home within a couple days. He assessed the condition of several of our trees and offered his professional advice as an arborist on how to care for them. The work was done in a timely manner, professionally, and at a reasonable price.

The estimate was pretty high ($1,250) and I knew I could get a better price elsewhere, but I figured that was the price of doing business with a reputable service provider. He also promised to clear grind up the two other stumps for other trees "as a throw-in."

He didn't show up to do the stumps until about two months later and unfortunately, he didn't grind up the stump enough. The tree was still living underground. We had to get someone else to come behind the work and finish it up.

I recommend you keep looking elsewhere and use these people as a last resort.

The person who comes out from Old Town Tree Company for tree service is really good. He is an arborist. I’ve referred him to other people. My only problem is that he doesn’t get back too me in a proper way. His prices are reasonable. I would use him again if he would call me back.

I called them and left a message. A couple of hours later they called back and I told them that I needed a stump removed/grinded. They said they were in the area and could come by that afternoon to give me an estimate. They came that afternoon and told me it would be $60 dollars and they could schedule it for the next day. The next day they came and removed the stump and grinded the roots. They were all done in about an hour. They were very prompt and professional. I would definitely hire them again.
