Lowe's

He might have charged me less. It was a smaller job than he thought he was coming here for. Mine has access, whereas some people, you have to dig it up and remove a cover. At some places it's a big job and it was going to be a lot more, but with mine because you've just got to drop your hose down into this little thing, like a manhole cover, I wasn't charged as much. The price was what was expected, it was average. They got the job done. They came right out, they showed up within a day or so, not that it was an emergency, it could have waited. There wasn't a lot of discussions, but they were actually trying to save me some money.

The experience was great and they did a wonderful job.

They haven't done the installation. Some items were picked up and some items were delivered. I am very happy with Lowe's. I use it all the time.

Great workmanship on both the sinks and the installation. On time and on budget with a great product.

The Lowe's experience was frustrating for me and I think could have been streamlined in some way. When I went to pick out my door, there was a customer in front of me and she was waiting for a salesperson to help her. He finally came and I waited while they did their consultation. As soon as he was done with her, he started to walk away. I had to stop him and have him come back to the door by tellling him that I wished to make a purpose. He said he thought I was with the other lady. I showed him the door I wanted, showed him the measurements I had taken, and thought I would be purchasing the door that day and arranging for a contractor to put the door in. No. I had to pay $35.00 to have their contractor come out and measure my door. Then, I had to come back to Lowe's with my signed measurement sheet, pick out my door, pay for my door, and make an appointment with the contractor. I just really felt like this was too many calls and too many visits to Lowe's for a simple storm door installation. The installers (Lowe's contractors) were excellent, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. No heartache with them.

Lowe's were very helpful and they came and got it done. I was very pleased with the job. They were prompt and courteous.

I got a reasonable price from Lowe's for my cabinet installation. They installation department was very friendly and very good. If I had any problems, I just had to make a call and everything would straighten out.

Serious water damage in the master bathroom required replacement of the vanity. We thought we'd be able to find a suitable replacement off the shelf as we had done when we built the house 15 years earlier, but after looking at many retailers, that was not to be. So we ordered one from Lowe's, but it arrived severely damaged. It turns out this model vanity had been phased out, and no more were available. Not being able to buy one off the shelf, and now having to order one and wait for it (over ten days), and now it arrives unusable, all was putting our major restoration work at the house very behind; our contractor was quite patient.
Once we returned the damaged vanity to the store, Rollie Rainer, assistant store manager worked with me for at least 45 minutes, first to replace the damaged one only to learn no more were available, then to find a suitable replacement. He found one that wasn't the style that we had originally ordered, but a style that my wife preferred. Our concern was the color; we needed plain white, and the store's computer system indicated it was white, but the Lowe's website indicated that it was off-white, which would not do. Rollie tried from several sources to determine the true color, including the vendor, but the vendor was closed for the day. We ordered it anyway with the understanding that if it was not plain white, the order could be cancelled or the item returned with no penalty. This vanity retailed for about 50% more than the one we had ordered earlier but was damaged, but Rollie got it for us for the same price as the first order just for our trouble.

Overall, it went well. Competitive price with no-pressure sales. Window crew arrived, installed 14 of the 18 on time with a minimum of disruption, though Lowes had ordered 4 wrong windows. No problem, they were back and installed the other 4 in the same manner. Excellent service overall. I'll submit a separate review for the particular installers.

They were exceptionally fair with dealing with putting on this storm door for me. They were really willing to work with me on the doors.

Not good.

I like them and that the reason I keep going back there. They have everything that I am looking for and are competitively priced. I had to take a couple of things back and each time they have taken care of it and good experience with the customer service. I have no complaints. They are always open when they say they would be open.

I primarily shop at Lowes for hardware and home improvement purchases. I last purchased 2x4's to build wheel chair ramps for our local CASA organization. The staff was helpful and friendly.

This report is for Lowe's located on Hwy. 431 South, Owens Cross Roads, AL (Hampton Cove area). I purchased 19 vinyl Pella double-hung windows to replace existing windows in my home. The installation began in Dec. 2010. The problems I had are as follows: 1) one picture window had grids within the glass that were pressing up against the glass, giving the illusion there were marks on the grids. I was told that a Pella rep. would need to look at the window and make a recommendation - no one from Pella has visited my home to date: 2) one window that should have had griids, was ordered without grids; 3) one screen was faulty. After three visits to Lowe's to get these problems resolved, I finally dealt with two individuals that came out to my home and re-ordered the windows and screen - they are to be installed on Dec. 29. It's taken a year to get Lowe's to resolve these issues - totally unacceptable.

A contractor did the initial installation for Lowe's - they were professional and timely. My only issue was that I discovered one of my double-hung windows was not working properly and upon investigation, the contractor told me it wasn't installed properly and the screen was faulty as well. I wish they would have double-checked all the windows after installation. They would have discovered the problem themselves without me having to point it out to them. Otherwise, I think they did a good job. I have been happy with the other Pella windows that were installed - the picture window is the only one with a problem.

They are in the process of ordering some windows for me. When I had dealt with them earlier, they were professional and prompt. The quote is for $10000. I will consider using them in the future.

The process was good. I don't know if the price was a little high, but my daughter is satisfied with the work.

I went with Lowe's because I figured that they could vouch for the quality of work. I have had trouble with individual contractors in the past, especially with follow-through, so I figured a larger company like Lowe's could field some of that for me. They did a good job. The blinds on one part of the door do not function right, but they are going to come back and fix that. They did a good job cleaning up when they were finished.
