Live Oak was easy to work with and extremely competitive in their pricing. They did a very professional job in a timely manner. I will be using their services again to landscape the front yard this spring.
The work was done in 3 installments over 2-3 months and the quality was very good. Great service. We are very happy with the results.
Communication and scheduling could be improved - we talked to one person and another person would do the scheduling and sometimes details and information would get lost due to miscommunication. The crew might show up on a day we weren't expecting them; but we understand that in this business some jobs need to be juggled and moved to a different day because of the weather.
A bit on the pricey side, but we appreciate that they accepted the job. Our house is on a steep hill and just getting the materials up our driveway was a challenge.

We called Live Oak Landscaping LLC after an Angie's List search. We asked for a design consult and they came out they next day; They gave us great ideas.
We wanted a paver walkway path through the chip area but before that we needed to address an issue with our large back patio. The patio had a crack extending from end to end; it was barely a hairline fracture type of a crack when we moved in last year but it had become noticeably wider so it made more sense to start with that project before the paver path area. Live Oak recommended paver stones over the existing concrete to minimize the expense (not to mention the upheaval) removing the existing patio would entail.
The crew did a wonderful job on the patio. It took a week and I will admit that the project got delayed a number of times due to weather and project backups on Live Oak's end (most of which, we understand, were out of their control due to weather and other clients changing their projects that were in progress)... but the end result was quite lovely and we are very happy with the results (I'd post photos but don't see where I can do that here.)
Matt Lombardi met with us several times to ensure the project was progressing according to plan and schedule. He also worked with us to come up with a plan that would fit our budget. Matt's team of men working on the project were professional, conscientious, courteous, and they were great about cleaning up everything at the end of each work day.
We have a second phase of our yard project already on paper and we will be continuing to work with Live Oak Landscaping to accomplish that as well. In addition, Live Oak Landscaping is providing our weekly yard service and they are doing a much better job that our previous service.

Regarding this particular member’s experience we would like to respond with some additional info that may help tell the full story. This was a lawn irrigation repair which estimated or fixed pricing is an unknown due to the nature of the work to be completed is on piping and equipment that is underground. The repair crew must first physically assess the system and then repair accordingly. The discussion of pricing was made upfront before the job was scheduled and/or started with this member. Our standard irrigation repair rate is $125 for the first hour and $52.95 per man hour thereafter plus the expense of materials used. This member scheduled the work to be completed after discussing the earlier mentioned pricing during our phone conversation without complaint or hesitation . This job required a crew of 3 men + material expenses of $375.00 for the repairs. This job took 3 hours to complete. If there are any issues or complaints with the quality of our work crew members professionlism we certainly want to know, as we would be happy to address…but our pricing is fair for what occurred and we feel the price matches our quality. A crew of three showed up today at noon and worked until nearly 4 o'clock on the yard; grass mowed, five bushes replanted, flower beds cleaned and trimmed, trees trimmed, lots of edging....the works. Fermen (one of the crew guys) asked questions for clarification when needed and even offered suggestions; He and his crew were very thorough. It's a large yard and it looks SO MUCH BETTER! I can't wait to see the patio project come together. I'll definitely post comments and photos once the project is complete. Until then, their lawn maintenance service is great and infinitely better than my previous service.
