I have had Johnson Pools & Spas maintain my small, above-ground pool for 17 years. It was surprising to find so many bad reviews. That has not been my experience, as I am a happy, long-time customer. They have provided weekly maintenance pool service, which has incuded replacing motors and heaters. I’ve rarely had cause to fault their work. Repairs have been successful, and I always enjoy entering the sparkling, clean water in my pool. On some occasions, I have requested vacuuming when there has been a small amount of sediment at the bottom of the pool. They’ve always come as requested. My monthly bills are typically just under $200; pool closing & opening are under $500.

Called Valley Pools first to come out and close my pool, but they never showed up. Thank goodness! Johnson Pools and Spa did a wonderful job for less money. Best thing was they actually came out when they said they were going too and did a fantastic job on top of it. I highly recommend Johnson Pools and Spa for any and all your pool needs.

They are okay.  They replaced it and everything but we haven’t been that thrilled.  I don’t think they replaced it with the same thickness that we had.

The two individuals that came out were nice enough, but not seem overly experienced in what they were doing.  They did change out the sand filter with no mishap.  They then cleaned - by removing it and spraying water with a hose through it - the salt cell.  They replaced the salt cell, overtighted it, and reached down to manually align it with the pipes, instead of loosening the clamps to readjust it correctly.  The salt cell began leaking water badly, not drops, pouring.  He  then undid it, checked the 'O' rings, said they were fine, retightened the plastic housing, then informed me it was now cracked.  The salt cell was not leaking when they arrived.  He then told me I'd have to order a new one, or they could order it and install it when it came in - for another hefty.  I asked couldn't he do something to seal it temporarily  because it was pouring water - he simply said no he couldn't, handed me the bill,  which he said was 'collect' and I had to pay on the spot. The bill was for 1.5 hours labor, 200# salt was the only material, and out  of the $300 paid,  $50 of that was a mileage fee (???).  Remember, there was nothing wrong with the salt cell until he took it apart, but my biggest issue besides their high priced service, was they didn't bother to find a way to temporaily fix the problem until a new system was ordered.  Very.poor.customer.service.
I was so upset.   It was 90+ degrees outside, and the system had to be run.  Water was running from the salt cell unit like a funnel.  A friend of mine recommended someone to me, and I called and they made it out to the house that same day.  BTW, we do not have a crack/broken seal in the salt cell, we merely needed new 'O' rings - his service call ran $45, which included 1 hour labor.
I would never, never use Johnson's again - what a rip off.  A very expensive rip off.
