"This client is a liar. They were happy up until the very end when they realized they had spent more money than they had budgeted. They also made a small issue with the home that was being handled under the warranty a larger issue by hiring an outside company to supposedly fix it without giving us any time to handle it. This is just another case of Angie's List not verifying the facts before just posting a review."
We were extremely pleased with the process and the end result. Tip was very helpful in selecting materials and general design ideas. The sub contractors he used were very respectful of our family, always showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. When there were problems, we were easily able to work them out with Tip.
Master bath
We did a major redo of our master bath. We replaced the cabinets with new marble counter tops, got new sinks and faucets, replaced the ceramic tile floor with porcelain, changed from a garden tub to a free standing, updated the toliet, changed from a fiberglass shower to a large tiled shower with a glass door, enlarged the door opening, moved a wall, moved plumbing and electrical, added new light fixtures and vents, removed the popcorn ceiling, added crown molding and painted walls/ceiling/trim.
Master bedroom
The master bedroom wasn't as big of a change. We just replaced the carpet with hard wood, removed the popcorn ceiling and painted walls/ceiling/trim.
Powder bath
The powder bath got a face lift with a new tile floor and tile accent wall. We also updated the light fixtures, faucets and the toliet. We also added an upper cabinet for additional storage. They also painted the walls/trim.
The one issue during the remodel was my fault, I ordered island lighting without Tip. It came in and was twice the size I expected, was ugly and didn't look anything like the pictures online. The lighting store was not going to take them back but Tip fought for me and they finally agreed to take them back. The ones I have now are perfect.
I have a custom stained glass window in my bath that I love. I had found the picture online and Tip recommended Jack Rabbit Stained Glass to do the work. It came out perfect. The remodel went smoothly and I love both rooms. I have had many complements on it.
Tip was very responsive to concerns. He would make suggestions and came up with most of the design features. I did pick colors throughout and he listened closely to what I wanted. I had a large antique corner hutch that I had gotten from my mother and he worked it into a special area in the kitchen that it goes perfectly into and is a focal point.
I would definitely use them again.
"This customer did not use Hoover & Associates Construction, Inc. We have never done work for Mr. [member name removed]. He may be speaking of Hoover Contracting which is a different contractor that we are in no way affiliated with."
