Well, we setup an appointment time the tech called me when he was leaving the shop and again when he arrived in town to let me know he was almost there. Company sent me tech description and picture of tech so we knew who we were dealing with.

It did not go, NO call and NO show

Issue: Cracked windshield from road debris. Crack extended
through 80% of the length of the windshield.
I found Glass America - Huntsville via Angie’s List and selected them due to the large number of positive reports. Since I was paying for this (and not my insurance company) I also got a quote from Safelite and it was significantly higher. Additionally,
Safelite didn’t have as many positive reports on Angie’s List, and several negative reports. Overall it was a good experience – the office/phone staff (Holly) and technician (Ray) were all very courteous and professional. They were willing to come to either my work or home location to do the job. Ray showed me what he was going to do and replaced the windshield in about 30 minutes. He cleaned up the glass shards and you couldn’t even tell it was a new windshield; he even moved the “next service” sticker. The replacement windshield came with a lifetime warranty from Glass America against installation defects, improper installation, leakage, etc. I hope I don’t have to, but I would use them again if needed and I recommend Glass America - Huntsville to others
on Angie’s List.

They were able to start work right away. From arrival to departure was less than 20 minutes. Cost was $60 less than Safelite and the job was better in my opinion.

The wrong gasket was delivered with the new windshield and the cracked windshield had been removed. I had travel plans following the install. The correct gasket was not immediately available. The store manager took a proactive stance and fixed my transportation issue before it became a problem. In any business it is never “if there is a problem” rather “when there is a problem”, stuff happens in any endeavor. Thanks to the courteous and professional staff they prevented their problem from becoming mine. Recommended highly!

We were referred to Glass America after a part failed in the dash and the mechanic suggested it looked like it MIGHT have been wet. We had never seen any signs of moisture in the car but set up an appointment anyway. Glass America tested the seal on our windshield and said it was fine except for a microscopic leak on the far other side of the windshield and offered to fix that for free. The very next time it rained, we got in our car and found water pouring out of the top of the windshield. Since the only thing that had changed was the and quot;repairand quot; that Glass America had performed, we called an politely asked if there was anything we could do. We were passed up the chain of command to a man we had not spoken to before who was exceptionally rude and belligerent -taking our simple and calm questions and blowing up. He accused us of lying and then said we were accusing him of lying, neither of which were true. He never saw our car, but told us it had clearly been leaking like that before coming in, which it was not. His responses were bizarre and completely out of line, so that we simply hung up and went elsewhere to have our windshield.. I will avoid this shop at all costs.

I busted my windshield by putting a 12' kayak in my 8' interior. Called these guys Wednesday, and they scheduled the service for Thursday around noon. Very patient, friendly, and professional on the phone working up my quote and scheduling.
Very quick response, the repairman gave a courtesy call to let us know he was on his way and arrived as scheduled. He even cleaned the dash and replaced my oil reminder sticker on the new windshield. Little things indicate pride in workmanship. As long as their prices remain competitive, I'll use them from now on.... though I hope I don't need to.....

Since this was a new car, they had to order the glass through the dealer and could not start the work until the glass came in. I got an appointment very promptly after the glass came in. They did an excellent job in replacing the glass. They vacumed up all the crumbs of glass in the car left from the original window which had shattered. You cannot tell that the glass has been replqaced and it does not leak.

Over the Christmas holiday, I had a huge rock hit my windshield on the way home. I had a hole the size of a quarter all the way into the car and cracks that spidered out across the whole windshield.

I checked with my insurance company immediately and they recommended Glass America. I called and they were open on the Monday after Christmas. They took my information and said they'd call back. Early the next day, they called back, ordered the windshield and scheduled an appointment for the following Thursday.

They came out and swapped out the Windshield in about a hour, no problems with me hovering and asking questions. I had to wait an additional hour for the glue to set.

Decent price. Lifetime leak warrenty. Prompt, professional and fast
