Express Oil Change

Everything went great. Even though all the bays were full when I arrived, my service started within 5 minutes of arriving. Oil changed, safety check conducted and we went over recommendations together. Everything went well and I even got a discount. I will go back again.

I always take my car here to have the oil changed. I've always found the staff to be very nice and the service is thorough. They clean the windshield and things like that too. I trust them with the maintenance of my car.

I have been to two of their companies in different locations and they do an outstanding service. I really like them and highly recommend them. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future.

Always what or less than expected. Having mechanic's that stay on board who will be there when you return - be it in a year - is some peace of mind.

Pretty well. Service manager is "Mike". A/c was repaired elsewhere a year ago, with a rebuilt compressor, but only worked for a few weeks. (This was done in California, so I couldn't take it back). Mike checked the pressure,and said the compressor was bad. He explained to me the difference between "new", "rebuilt", and "remanufactured" compressors, which I didn't know. (I am knowledgable about cars; I did all my own repairs for many years). They replaced the compressor with a new unit, flushed the system, and replaced all the appropriate parts. It's been a couple weeks and the A/C is still working well. However, when I got the car back the "check engine" light was on, which it wasn't before (and has never been). I pointed this out. Mike said working on the a/c shouldn't affect that, but he checked it out, and said a sensor appeared to be bad. He also found a vacuum hose that hadn't been properly reconnected while I was watching. He promised to get a replacement sensor and install it for free. It took a week to chase down the part - but it didn't fix the problem. He spent a day(?) trying to diagnose it. It was apparently an electrical problem, but said everything looked okay under the hood, and he'd chased the problem out of the engine compartment and into the dash. At this point he said they'd done nothing under the dash, so the problem couldn't have been caused by them. He said he could continue, but he'd have to charge me $85/hour to chase it down. We discussed it, and I decided it wasn't worth it to spend the additional money. (The car is a '94 Saturn with 150K++ miles.) We discussed the nature and effect of the apparent problem, and both felt it wouldn't affect the operation of the engine. Overall I'm satifsfied with the service. Mike seems knowledgable and competent. However - he's also very assertive, and always seems in a hurry, or impatient. He interrupted me multiple times whenever we were talking - and I'm not a slow speaker. I observed him pushing one of the mechanics to get a job done faster, when it didn't appear to me he was dawdling. I don't really want a mechanic feeling rushed when he's working on my car. I gave a B instead of an A for Professionalism for these reasons: - Mike's interpersonal skills: Could be very overbearing to some. - They should have noticed the "check engine" light was on before returning the car to me. - The vacuum hoses very definitely should have been reconnected properly before the car was returned to me. That could have caused all manner of issues. I gave a B for price as they're not the cheapest you'll find. However, in my experience using the cheapest mechaniic is not a good idea. I prefer competence. The Express Oil on Wall Triana in Madison is much friendlier. I've used them before.
