I called Matt to do an inspection of a new house that was in the final stages of construction. The builder had requested that any inspections be done before the final walk-thru but they weren't going to have the power and water turned on until just before then. Matt was able to schedule a time for me the morning before the walk-thru but when we got there, the house was not ready. The power and water were on but it had not been cleaned up. Matt said that he could test the plumbing and electrical without the final cleanup and construction trash removal but that he could not do the complete inspection he normally did. He was very nice and rescheduled his inspection for later in the week.
After the house was cleaned, Matt returned and did a very thorough and professional job. He found a couple of items the builder had missed and pointed out a few other items that he thought may become a problem in the future if we did not keep an eye on them. He emailed me his very thorough report a few hours later which I was able to forward to the builder for his correction.
Matt left the radon tester in the house for 48 hours before returning to pick it up. The radon test was also emailed to me later that afternoon.
I found Matt to be very friendly, competent and professional. Although he did not find any major problems in this newly constructed house, his inspection was worth it for my family's peace of mind in buying our first newly constructed house.
"The customer ordered a partial inspection as he did not want to pay the $300 fee which is already one of the lower ones around this area. This was not a full inspection nor did I even look at the items he is claiming are problems. He lists this home as built in 1970 however, this was a new construction home and not even completed at time of inspection. The BBB judged in my favor on this dispute. I made every attempt to rectify this situation even though I did exactly what the man asked and paid for. I attempted to refund the money and he told me to shove it. I offered a free full home inspection and aid getting the builder to repair any issues found and he told me to go to h***. These facts can be verified with the Better Business Bureau of Madison County Alabama. My license is and has been fully valid. This can be checked at the Alabama Building Commission website. I carry over 3 times the required insurance to assure that anyone I deal with is fully covered should I make a mistake. The customer filed no claims because there were no valid claims. This man has made an online campaign against me on several forums for what reason I don't know. His claims are false. I can prove everyone false. I am beginning to think that he has something personal against me for a reason I am unaware of and is just using this as a forum to harass me. He left a similar review on my google reviews and has called me and emailed me for nothing more than to berate me several times. My google reviews and reviews on here show that I have many years worth of satisfied customers and only one complaint. My record stands for itself."
