During the first week, he came by and spread some type of filler into the divots. Approximately a week later he came by and painted a portion of the floor. Prior to painting, he did not remove the glue or sand down the filler that he used. At that point, I could see that he was not doing the job correctly and I gave him the opportunity to admit defeat and let me employ someone else to do the job correctly. I again showed him the photograph and he assured me that it would work out and that if I were unhappy with it, I would not have to pay for it. He said that he was going to get equipment and mechanically clean the floor, which was the process I expected from the beginning. A few days later, he contacted me to say that he wanted to try coating the floor instead, once again I gave him the opportunity to get out of the deal and again he assured me that I would be happy with the result. Throughout the process, Keith continually claimed to be having health and employee issues and most of the work ended up being performed by his father. After six weeks of random work, the floor was an absolute disaster. In addition to still being able to see the swirls of carpet glue, the floor is so rough and pitted that you can’t even run a dust broom or mop over it without snagging. On July 19, 2017, I talked to Keith on the phone. I informed him that the floor was unacceptable and that I expected a refund of the $2400 that I had already paid him. He had already tied up this project for 6 weeks, and now I was stuck with the additional cost and delay of getting someone in to fix it. His own contract called for dispute resolution to be handled through binding arbitration, and he refused to participate.

Our experience with this contractor was mostly negative and here's why: The first half of the project went reasonable well. The sub-contractor that poured the concrete steps and walkways did a fairly decent job even though the front steps were built a little longer than specified which posed a problem when reinstalling the wrought iron handrail. The decorative process, on the other hand, went terribly wrong. Mr. Campbell personal problems and the weather stretched the project out for several weeks instead of days. Furthermore, Mr. Campbell asked and received an additional $3,000 even though it violated the terms of the contract. A month later, Mr. Campbell asked for more money with the excuse that he needed it to buy more supplies so I reluctantly paid him another $1,000. All in all, I foolishly paid him $9,000 for a job that was highly behind schedule, unfinished and substandard in quality.

On 11/29/15, I called Mr. Campbell and requested a different finish than the one he’d started putting on three steps. Mr. Campbell went ballistic, verbally abused me and refused to make any changes. The next day, my husband asked Mr. Campbell if he wanted to part company, cancel the contract and refund part of the money we'd given him in advance. He initially agreed to it but 3 days later reneged on his word and decided to abandon the project, keep the money and dared us to take him to court. Initially, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to resolve our dispute amicably but this attempt was unsuccessful. Ultimately, we filed a suit with Small Claims Court and on 3/2/16 won a DEFAULT judgment for $6,000. We are trying to collect our judgment but to this date, Mr. Campbell has not paid us a dime. I hired another company to finish the job and I'm completely satisfied with the results.

Job went well. Contractor was delayed in starting and finishing our job (approximately 1 month delay) - but this is normal in this business when multiple jobs are being juggled.
Contractor returned and resealed the driveway a third time after I mentioned that some spots did not seal well.
One minor Issue:  Was surprised that 4 hairline cracks (3 to 10 feet in length) in the driveway reappeared within 3 days - very noticeable since some of the white quartz material effloresced out of the cracks which makes them look larger than they are. I will have to seal them before winter sets in and I don't think there is a way to cover them up. My opinion is that some, if not all, cracks with decorative concrete will reappear at some time in the future.
Back yard patio looks great.
Recommend that contract  be improved to include warranty conditions.

The project went well. It took 3 weeks, and this is not an over night process. They took the concrete out and redid that and let it set for about two weeks. They did a good job and I am happy with the finished project.
