TV Service - Cable, Internet Service
Our prices went up without warning. They even started limiting data usage. When I contacted them to find out why, they tried to sell me a different package and were VERY misleading about the actual costs. They did not list both spouses on the contract and make it difficult to disconnect service. A month later they are still billing us even though we have turned in the equipment. We went with another company that was very up front about all of the costs and made sure both of us are on the contract so we can both make changes (I did not have to ask for this - the better company did this automatically) Will never use Comcast again

The installer was fine at his job (but wanted me to call him directly instead of calling Comcast in case of trouble in the future. I get it. I know why he would want that. But no). Everything else, every other customer service interaction, has been exactly as bad as Comcast's abysmal and well-deserved terrible reputation would lead you to expect. They love passing the customer from one agent to the next: I got hung up on and/or transferred by two separate people before I finally got someone to do what was needed one of the many times I've had to call to get something fixed. Just got my first bill, which included $140 for a service I cancelled weeks ago and never used. The latest customer service guy I spoke to claims he's removed it, but a lot of claims from Comcast agents have proved to be false in the past month (We spelled your name wrong on your initial order? Too bad, you have to go in person to a Comcast office to have it changed. The next week, a different agent I speak to on the phone fixes it on the spot. And that's just one example of many).
In short, incompetent staff that doesn't care (and I imagine they're paid nowhere near enough to care at all). If you are stuck with Comcast, never, ever, EVER use their online chat service, is my advice. Like, ever. You may get tossed around from agent to agent on the phone, but it'll still be better than "Chris" the know-nothing agent at the other end of the chat.
I have no other option for cable or Internet in my current location. Otherwise I never would have chosen Comcast, which is exactly as useless as I expected. The only reason I don't give them flat-out across-the-board F's is that the actual cable and Internet service seems to be good. I indicated I'd use them again, but that's because, again, sometimes you have no other option. If I did, the answer would be H***, NO.

They were using independent contractors for door-to-door sales and their inside sales team were clueless on what specials were being offered. Also, forget about the two hour appointment window promise. It took over 2 days to get my service installed and then only because I told them their installer had falsified his records to show he had responded to me. The quality of their products is outstanding. Their customer service and installers leave a lot to be desired. They don't mind passing the buck. If there was some way to get their services installed independently of their team, that would be ideal. In the end, after many apologies and as many people as I spoke with, my installation issues were finally resolved, I was compensated for my inconvenience and all is good. Like I said, they have excellent products. Internet speed is consistent with little to no down time. HD is of good quality. Show line ups are acceptable, but too many "garbage" shows thrown into the mix - shows that wouldn't watch if they paid you.

It was never recorded on the books. So we spent another 2 hours on the phone with a representative and were finally told we wound have to bring the malfunctioning piece of equipment down to the office on the other end of then town and fix it ourselves.. We have to continue with this services as there is no choice in our neighborhood.
I am sure we will be billed a service fee but right now I do not know what it is.

Terrible experience for the most part. It started with the installation. When the installer came to my NEW apartment, he did not bring what was promised when I ordered the promotion package. He had to call another installer that was in a nearby area that had an extra DVR since it wasn't on his installation contract. The modem he tried to install in my apartment was not able to pick up a signal and i was told that it was a problem in the lines of the apartment complex. The installer left and indicated they would get with the apartment complex and resolve the problem and get back to me in a day or so. After 2 weeks of not hearing from anyone, I finally called Comcast and they told me that they thought someone had came and fixed the problem. Reminder, when I received my first month's bill, I was charged for a service I didn't have for 2 weeks and on top of that I wasn't charged the price I was quoted/promised for 12 months. The problem with some of the promotions is that they are written to draw you in because my promotion was for a year, but after 7 months Comcast raised all of its rates which increased my bill by $20 for the exact same service. Also, I've talked to atleast 4 representatives over the 7 months in which I had service and all have promised that next month's bill would be correct. We'll guess what, they're still in error. Therefore, I'm going to shop around and see what else is out there. If you received the $50 Cable/Internet promotion promise in Providence area then dont' be surprised about the your new rate increase and the strong possibility of mediocre service and the same signal level from your internet service.

Comcast is the worse Cable Company to do business with. their rates are extremely high for a bundle package TV and Internet. they will randomly add premium channels to your monthly bill, like HBO and Disney channel without your approval. You have to constantly call customer support to adjust your monthly statement. customer service is terrible. I will never do business with Comcast again.

COMCAST internet services come with free cable for the basic TV channels; the internet service is fast. Their price is competitive. Their customer service in the local office is awful, they have long lines. They will send you a box that you don't want and then start charging you six months later for it. And, when you say you don't want the box, you have to go back and stand in the line to return that box.

Called to schedule repair, set up for Wednesday. On Tuesday, I noticed a Comcast van out front. Asked Brian if he was the technician, he said he was there for my next door neighbor. He offered to check out my problem. Changed splitter to appropriate type and recommended I watch to see if the problems disappeared. He would call me back Wednesday AM to check. He called back and the problem had been fixed by his repair a day earlier than scheduled. Very courteous, very polite, very knowledgeable.
