"On the colors that were changed, I left a color chart with [member name removed] and girlfriend. Colors were picked. We patched walls beyond expected, repaired, and sanded. I put a sample of color picked and girlfriend did not like what she picked. She picked 2 more colors and I went to get paint. After prep work was complete we applied two coats on walls and trim. He loved it and stated that work was great and would be calling us back for more. I got a call from him saying she hated the color she picked. So I went back to try to help with colors. She strated crying so upset that she could not decide on color. Colors were finally picked. 2 weeks later he called and said he went and got more paint that she was not happy with color and wanted to know what price would be to come back to paint with color he purchased. We agreed to do job for my cost. Went back to repaint. Again, he loved it and she said there a couple of spots and 1 wall and fireplace wall she did not think was done right. I went back again to look and fix area and could not find spot. She said you could not see it in the daytime. Fireplace wall needed another coat due to color change. He said again, that is was good. She was rude the whole time that I was there and I was not rude to her at anytime. Walls were over 20 feet tall and trim had to be done twice. She said she could paint better than us. I had 1 supervisor, 1 painter, 1 helper when we did this color change. I would have painted that wall again but was in the middle of a big job with house all trolled out everywhere. I could not just run over there at the drop of a hat. I have been in business for 30 years and have won Angie's List Super Service Award. I do my best to make customers happy. Please look at other comments and grades."
patching and painting the walls and in a very timely manner. They did an excellent job on the trim around the doors, windows and
baseboards in the bedroom and the bathroom. The room looks great now.
The trim work was perfect, including a high gloss repaint of the kitchen island which was previously stained. They knew just what to do to make this paint-over work and it looks fantastic. Finally, they managed to get all 11 colors right -- and this was all done while we were still living over 1000 miles away. I gave Brad a key and he took care of the rest.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
In the kitchen and bathrooms, we had wallpaper. After examining it, the decision was made to paint over it, rather than butcher the walls trying to remove it. They sealed and sanded all seams, then primed with Kilz before painting. Honestly, if you didn't know there was wallpaper under the paint, you'd never notice. Excellent job.
The cabinet painting was an adventure. My bad, but we didn't decide to paint them until after the walls in those rooms were already painted. They had to take the doors offsite to paint them because they were being sprayed and had to be laid out to dry. This happened during a very wet February, and trying to dry them at our house would have been impossible. That was the only time things were not cleaned up at the end of the day, and that was only because they very carefully closed off the rooms they were working in with plastic and tape.
Great job painting the exterior. And we were more than happy with the job they did on our fence. We had thought we'd have to replace or paint it, but once they pressure washed it and then stained and sealed it, it looks like new. Several neighbors have talked to him about doing the same to theirs.
Every person of the paint team was professional, punctual, courteous, and efficient.
Job took about 6 days because of the unusual cold and rain that occurred at the end of March.
They arrived about 7AM and worked through to 5:30 PM every day.
The work area was picked up, cleaned up and tolls stored every day before they stopped work.
I don't think I've ever seen a team that worked as hard, as efficiently and as quickly as they worked.
I've requested that Brad give us an estimate to paint the exterior of our pool house and garage.
I believe they underestimated how long the prep work would take for the job, which put them a little behind their estimated completion date; however, he did not charge me extra for the time.
I would hire this crew again, with no hesitation.
It is unfortunate that they have not responded to this matter since I would have given them a positive rating except for this aspect of the job. It appears that they won't stand by their work, nor professionally return calls.
