Anders Pool Company

It took two business days before this company responded to my query. This company indicated they were not interested in doing "in-field" service. This company did not even ask what problem I was having. I am surprised they even responded. By the time this company responded, I a another company had already looked at the filter and make recommendations.

Anders came out and installed a motor that had konked out. I bought new Hayward motor on ebay and they installed. Prompt, courteous and efficient.

Pool was closed without cleaning which was a misunderstanding because I wanted it cleaned first but it wasn't so it took longer to clean than usual. But I was happy with the service. They are always very responsive.

Very professional....did job when promised, and no issues. Pricing, communication, and description of work was right on target.

Everything was done expertly and efficiently. Anders removed the old liner, repaired flaws in the basin, measured twice and ordered the liner we selected (Tara). While the water was out, I had the steps repaired and reenforced by Stan Smith of Cullman. When the pool liner came in, they installed it professionally and I have yet to find a single wrinkle. While I was refilling the pool, a different Anders guy came out, installed the salt system and explained to me how to use it. Everything worked the first time and continues to work perfectly. The pool is beautiful and feels great to swim in. We are extremely pleased..

The pool liner that I wanted was on backorder and was explained upfront during the estimate. I got three different estimates from other pool companies. I chose Anders due to their knowledge and professionalism. Their estimate was comparable to the other two estimates I received. Once the liner was in, I received a call to schedule my installation. I was explained that my appoinment may change based upon the weather. The day prior Anders came out and placed a pump into the pool and drained the rest of the water. They returned the next day and installed the liner. During the installation, they discovered that my pool light was very rusty and called me to see if I wanted it replaced after providing me with an amended estimate. After installation, I had one small issue where part of the liner pulled away from the track on the coping. I called Anders and they send someone back out and had it back in place prior to me coming home from work. I would use Anders Pool again.

They were always professional and on time. They did a great job and answered my questions well. They were very thorough and very good.

The process was smooth, and professional, they arrived and took measurements, the estimater seemed familiar with and knew of the original builders work, and gave a quote on the job, $3,800, with a caveat that if a particular piece was not useable, which would not be known until they actually started the job, that there would be an additional $1,000 to replace that piece (which turned out to be the case). Once they began pumping out the old water and tearing out the old liner, it only took a couple of days, perhaps a week from start to finish, giving it rained in between. They patched up the foundation then installed the new liner and began filling up the pool. They had informed me of notifying the city in order to get the sewer credit, for which I was most appreciative. The job was beautifully done, however, I did not get any direction on how to use the filter, e.g. the back wash, rinse, et cetera, which I felt should have been top of mind.
My handyman was cleaning the pool a couple of weeks post installation and noticed a foot print on the sloping side of the pool by the filter basket, so I called back to have it investigated. Was told the foundation may have crumbled under the weight of the pool when filled. So they came back and drained the pool and fixed the footprint, giving me a couple hundred dollars off the final bill for water/sewer costs. They have since winterized and covered the pool.

Excellent service, pricier than others, but worth the difference

They are a product and services provider. They didn't charge me anything when they came out here. The guy came in here and looked at it. I wanted the liner repaired or replaced and I wanted the floor removed and replaced. He suggested a second company that pretty much builds pools. I have worked with the owner of Anders Pool, the owner of the other pool company, and a representative from a liner company. In conjunction between these three people, I am now going to get a discount on my floor and I am going to get a free liner. Anders guys are really good. They are not the cheapest guys in town, but they do provide an excellent product. They are not known for their responsiveness. Usually if they tell me they are going to be here, they show up sometime within the month. They are definitely professional. I am still using them.

Great crew, worked hard and got the job done.

They sent out a leak detection company who found the leaks and supposedly stopped them but my pool still leaks. They are attempting to correct the problem. The guy who used to run the place is now running the service department. I avoided him when he was running the place because I didn't feel his head was in the job. The people they send out are great but I'm not sure about him managing it. They have only charged me for the liner. They have nice stuff. I think somebody took a shortcut and it cost them. They do tend to be a little slow on responding. They don’t give me a fixed time. They will say they will try to be there on a certain day and it may be a few weeks later. I will continue to use them because the other pool companies are worse than them.

My experience with them was excellent. They are very timely. They are not the least expensive or the most expensive in the town. However, they saved me money by recommending alternatives. They are very trustworthy. They are very confident about their work. I would use them again in the future.

Excellent on all service calls; perhaps a bit more expensive than other pool companies, but quality and responsiveness is worth the extras.
