Delivery Date: Monday (6/2/2025) Position in Delivery Queue: 2 Delivery Timeframe Stated: 0830 - 1000 CDT Salesperson: JJ Item Description: GE Profileā„¢ 2.2 Cu. Ft. Built-In Sensor Microwave Oven Model#: PCWK22U1WDD Cost: $316.10 BACKGROUND: We have been longtime customers of AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. We have purchased numerous appliances, including countertop microwaves. We always research our options online and place our order via phone with JJ. JJ does an excellent job in answering any/all questions that we have. JJ and Billy are outstanding. We have always been extremely pleased (5 star plus) with the job that all parties involved have provided us over the years. We cannot state the same for this particular delivery. EXPECTATION: Our expectation was that the AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. installer would come into our kitchen, remove the old countertop microwave, take it out to the truck, walk back in with the box containing the new countertop microwave, set said box on the kitchen floor, open the box, remove the new countertop microwave, set it on the counter, plug it in, drop in the removable turntable support (roller ring support), drop in the removable glass turntable, wave goodbye, and exit the premises with minimal disturbance. Our expectation was neither met nor exceeded. EXPERIENCE: We received a phone call around 0900 CDT that the delivery was on its way. ~0915 CDT, the truck arrived. There were two employees on the truck. The driver was Trey Jones (name on business card). I did not catch the name of the installer. Historically, AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. has always removed the old appliance prior to installing the new one. Upon arrival, the installer announced that this was "just a drop-off" and he was not removing the old one. We explained that historically, the installers for AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. have always removed the old appliance prior to installing the new one. We also informed the installer that if there was a removal fee, some appliance stores charge a removal fee, we would call JJ and get the fee paid immediately. This statement to the installer did not resolve the issue but made it worse. The installer was agitated upon arrival to the job site, don't know why, and our insistence that he remove the old appliance and put the new one on the counter sent him into a tantrum. He took the new appliance out of the box, slammed it on the countertop, threw the ring and glass turntable in, drops the manual in the kitchen floor, and storms out with the box. In the process of storming out, the installer managed to knock several items off of the ramp rail into the garage floor that I had to straighten up after he left. During this "cluster" in my kitchen, I was in a conference call with my customer. The topic of discussion was the re-org of our group. My customer was in the process of informing us if we still had jobs and if so, what they were and where they were. As you could imagine, I was very interested to hear what the person that pays me was saying. Instead, I had to stop and manage a grown man's temper tantrum. If I wanted to deal with temper tantrums in my home, I would get married and have a child/children. PROBLEM WITH MICROWAVE: While we were on the GE website examining the countertop microwaves, we looked at the pictures of the interior. Regardless of the exterior color (white, grey, black), all pictures showed a light color interior. The Spec Sheet for the model we purchased does not mention the interior color. The only mention of the interior is "Microwave Oven Interior - Epoxy Coated". The interior of the microwave we received is dark grey. My mom has vision problems and requires a light color interior. AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. directed us to GE. GE Customer Service would not deal with us since we purchased the appliance from AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. Also, I was not provided a copy of the invoice by the delivery crew. BOTTOM LINE: This was the simplest task that an appliance installer could do. We did nothing to warrant the experience we got. It would have been less stressful on us, especially my mother who has medical problems and does not need any stress, if I had cashed a check for the purchase price of the microwave and tossed the money out of the car window on my way back to the house. If you cannot work on a job site and behave in a professional manner, do not come to our home. IN CONCLUSION - We will be purchasing a refrigerator soon. If I can't trust AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. to handle the removal/installation of a countertop microwave, give me the reason(s) I should trust AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. to handle the removal/installation of a side-by-side refrigerator. The degree of difficulty is much higher. In a broader sense, give me the reason(s) I should trust AllSouth Appliance Group, Inc. to handle all of my future appliance purchases.

I posted this review on Google, too.  Allsouth was the appliance sub for our builder (who is outstanding, by the way). All they had to do was install three appliances. THREE. The only thing these jag-offs got right was the delivery of the appliances and *sliding in* our new oven. The dishwasher and microwave were both dropped. This was obvious because (a) we saw the palette in our garage prior to installation, (b) one side of the palette was "injured", (c) the corresponding sides of the appliances from that side of the palette were both broken.
To add insult to injury, they didn't use the granite counter installation kit for the dishwasher. This would help considering they
don't want to fix the broken feet. Now, when you open a loaded dishwasher, the whole machine rotates thereby "dishcharging" the bottom rack of dishes out onto your floor. This is entertaining to guests.
The microwave is also fun. The plate does not rotate properly so you can always tell when it's in use because of the "thump-thump" made by the turntable, much like a broken record but without the repetitive music. Also, the clock is crooked so you can't tell if it's AM or PM (which actually matters during the winter when it's dark at 5AM and 5PM). And the oven vent built into the microwave is broken so it slides right out after only unfastening two screws when it should be held together by four screws. The other two take bits of the broken plastic housing with them.
Normally I wouldn't care because these appliances are "builder grade" but it's the principle of the matter. Allsouth is not interested in fixing or replacing the appliances which can be done EXTREMELY EASILY when you're a flippin' vendor. They're only interested in minimalist work, single trips, and offering to "send out an inspector" which was already been done by the builder who verified that the pieces are indeed broken. We're guessing Allsouth doesn't trust the builder that hired them in the first place. They also will not come out on your time, only their time, so if you work and are busy from 8am to 5pm, you can bet you'll never see nor hear from them again.

If I had known how things would turn out, I would have just asked that they leave the appliances in the box in the garage, and I would use my actual experience in appliance installation to save myself from the nightmare they left me with. To start with, the dishwasher was neither level nor lined up in the cabinet. One side protruded out a little more than the other, and upon placing a level to it, it was off balance enough that water would collect to one side of the tub. I had to unscrew the machine, properly adjust the front and back, and install it again. This was also the case for the range, though thankfully it wasn't as tough a procedure to level out. Three months later, both rubber friction pads broke off from the hinges of the dishwasher and laid underneath on the floor, causing the door to fling loosely up and down when opened. I waited almost two weeks before someone would come out to replace them. When I tried to talk to the serviceman about what may be the problem, and explain that the door seemed to scrub when opening and closing and that maybe the hinges weren't aligned properly, he quickly (and rudely) dismissed me and told me that if the door was crooked I'd just have to call the manufacturer, which in turn was a way of telling me that my warranty with AllSouth meant nothing. For a time the door seemed to work fine, until a few nights ago, seven months later, the pads have once again ripped off and fallen to the floor. I've called AllSouth again, only to have my questions and concerns quickly dismissed as though I have no idea what I'm talking about. What I do know is that my dishwasher's door is, in fact, misaligned, which is causing the hinge to act as a scissor, cutting into the pad until it falls apart. Thankfully, the machine's manufacturer is now resolving the issue promptly. I also know that I will never do business with AllSouth again because of the professionalism they lack and for the rudeness of not only the serviceman but of the retail workers as well.

I have used them anytime I have any issues with my appliance. They call the day before they come then they called me ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. I give them an A rating and I will continue to use them.
