The first person to assess the problem thought we needed a bigger drain. That solution would have cost over 4k. I wasn't that sure it would be an adequate solution. The technition sent in to implement the drain agreed with me. He suggested adding two french drains to increase the surface area. He said this exact combination has been successful at his house for over eight years. His personal testimonial convinced me that this latter method was the way to go. Even better, the cost was not substantially more for the additional French drains.

I haven't had any problems since, it was well worth the money and I felt like he went above and beyond by coming out for a follow up visit on his day off.
