First off..if you ever need anything for hardscape, fireplace, irrigation, etc...hire Scot and his team! I have worked with contractors in my life and never been more pleased with their work...not only the final product, but the process. His team was incredible--very professional, always cleaning up before leaving and working very hard every day. During the build, Scott was constantly checking in on the work throughout the process--making adjustments and ensuring quality. If we had a concern, he addressed it. Overall a great experience!
We had originally thought of putting the fireplace in another place, but Scot has GREAT vision and recommended another spot and he was so right. The final product is perfect. As I said, he also went out of his way to help us with a broken fence gate, re-landscaping a small part of the yard, fixed our irrigation system, and helped even out the pavers we have around a pool area.
As context, we looked at four other vendors. While I am sure the others would have been good, we absolutely picked the right person and will continue to use Scot for years to come. I HIGHLY encourage you to use this vendor. Excellent!

I was very impressed with the degree of detail provided by Mr. Thompson. He really knew his product and was knowledgeable about what our site would need to turn the areas of concern into actually enjoyable outside space. We have a very steep (un-walkable) hill behind our house just 12 feet off the back wall of our home and we wanted to create some living space behind our home. I was even more impressed when after 20 minutes of detailed discussion he advised me against the construction of a retaining wall, which we thought was a solution, because it could result in the death of two valuable old trees. He recommended we consider an alternative solution that would be less costly and far less likely to kill the trees and have a large deck constructed. This company did not specialize in decks so he recommended another business. So professional and considerate. We will call them when ready to landscape the hillside.
