They are very efficient and do a good job. For 55.00 they cut my grass and weed eat and trim. If you want them to do extra, they will do it for extra money.

They provide service every 2 weeks. Service/work is excellent.

The person that called kept me so long on the phone over dinner. They were frustrating. I couldn't get them out for an estimate and they were very hard to get hold of and they didn't called me back about doing the job. They didn't respond to my request. I will use them in the future if I could get them out.

For years, American Lawn Company was reliable and adhered to scheduled service and always responded to messages left for them. In the spring of 2013, that came to an end. I was not told of any problem or if they were no longer servicing my area, but I was "forgotten" a couple of time on the schedule. It suddenly became difficult to get messages returned. So I was forced to find a new service. I really liked American Lawn Company and it was a good run with them for five years, but something changed.

Bryan and crew did an excellent job !! They arrived on-time and we were very pleased with the quality of their work. We look forward to working with them for all our lawn needs moving forward.

American Lawn has done an excellent job on all services to our lawn throughout our relationship.

They are wonderful. They clear the yard periodically and cut the grass. They also design and landscape beautifully. They also take care of our neighborhood yards and during that time we had an interaction with them. If they put in a bush or a design that you never ordered, they would work on it or replace it free of charge. I will use them again in the future.

I use them for lawn and yard work. They usually do my mowing but this time I had a lot of work done. They did a really good job.

They are very professional and do what they say they will. Overall I have been very satisfied with the services. I will continue to use them again in the future.

The response to my phone call was not very prompt, but my call was returned and a day scheduled. The guys did a SUPER job on my lawn. They mowed, edged around all my shrubs, did stuff I haven't even done myself. For the money, they did a really great job. I'd hire them again in a hearbeat.

They have been doing our lawn service for several years. The reason I had them out was because my grass was growing faster than scheduled. I called them up and said I needed to have it done. They got somebody out within a day or two.

I'm not 100% satisfied with the drain in the back yard (I believe It should have had concrete laid around it), but it works as designed. The french drain in front works wonderfully.

American Lawn has to date been my best landscaping experience in the Birmingham area. They were punctual, professional, produced good quality work, and were priced moderately (not the cheapest, but still reasonable).

They always do a great job. Our lawn looks beautiful after they are done with the work. Their prices are a little steep, but for the quality; they are worth it. We will continue to use this company in the future.

I had trouble getting a hold of any lawn company (I guess it's a busy time), and I finally went with the only one that actually came over and gave me an estimate. They charge $40 per man hour with a three-man crew working together. The supervisor estimated that my job would take 2-3 hours, so I expected a bill of no more than $360. He also assured me (unprompted) that all the crew members speak English. They showed up two days after they said they'd be there, with no call to explain. I walked around with the supervisor reiterating what I needed done and one of the workers accompanied us. But after the supervisor left, the workers pretty much did everything they could think of. I really don't think they understood the instructions or cared, they just worked as long as they could. They even wandered across the property line and trimmed some of the neighbor's plants. I was there at the start and tried to talk to them, in both English and Spanish, but they just weren't interested in listening to me. I had to leave, and the final tally came to 4.5 hours labor at $540. The yard looks fine, overall, but I'm not pleased with how far off the estimate was or how unresponsive the team was. The supervisor apologized for his underestimate but that was it. Whether the result is worth the cost is questionable, but I would have declined had I known it would cost that much.
