Ceramic Tile Service, Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Dave's work was mediocre at best and many details just bad. There is misalignment in the mud cap. I had to do a lot of extra work to reinstall the escutcheon for the shower control water valve. The top surface of the water dam to the shower stall is rough cut. In short the work has the look of "quick and dirty" look. He cuts his tile with a hand held grinder, etc. This work simply does not amount to good workmanship.

Ceramic Tile Service
The first visit when the floor rot was discovered was on July 5th. The work went on pretty steady that week. Dave had a helper come in. At the end of that week, Dave asked me to pay him some more money - or all of the rest - so he could pay his helper. I paid him all the remaining amount plus a little more because I felt that the work was more than he had expected. The total amount I paid was $1350.00. Along the time period I found that Dave had some family health problems and two other jobs that kept pulling him away from completely finishing our bathroom. I had to go out of town the week of July 12th through the 17th. My wife stayed home that week so Dave sould have access. Each day that week he only worked 1 hour to 1 and 1/2 hours per day. When I returned home at the end of that week, Dave had done less than a whole day's worth of additional work and the job was still not finished. The 3rd week I called Dave to encourage him to finish the job. When he did come out I encouraged him again to finish the job. I had to point out items that were not finished that were part of the estimate. On July 22nd I told him that he could count the job as finished even though there was one wall (about 27 inches) that had no wall tile on it and part along the bottom of one side of the shower entrance (about 6 inches by 3 inches) that had a gap where the door frame tile had not been replaced. He apologized for the job taking so long. When he left, it was one day short of 3 weeks for a job that should have taken a lot fewer days. Dave seems to be an honest enough guy and a good worker. He just couldn't seem to concentrate on finishing my bathroom with all the family health problems and the other jobs pulling on him.

I really liked him. He was very easy to work with. He and his workers did a good job.
