Waddell Construction Co, LLC

We have a long history with this company and in the past had always been exceptionally pleased with their work. So much so that we were going to have them build another home for us. In the end we bought a "fixer-upper" in a great neighborhood that needed a costly repair so the Waddells were our first choice for this work. The original job (in September) was done with professionalism and courtesy and I paid all the draw requests immediately and in full. Several months later (in February) some issues arose that required their attention. It was winter time and I knew that caulking and painting couldn't be done due to the cold but contacted them with the hope they would get to us as soon as it warmed up. It took four months for them finally come back. My calls and texts usually went unanswered. Twice he said he would come and didn't. Emails were sent but they only went to the office and not the actual contractor. So many excuses were made we were beyond frustrated. When we mentioned to a neighbor, who is also a member of the local builders assoc, that we were at the point of complaining to the local BBB, suddenly and coincidentally Mr Waddell scheduled a time for the work to be completed. This second visit, to repair their own work, was so aggravating, and the work barely adequate. I had to come up with a solution to the problem their subcontractor created. They were borderline rude to me, left a mess, and broke bedding plants with their carelessness. These gentlemen used to be the epitome of southern charm and professionalism. Not now. My opinion of someone has never changed so dramatically so quickly. I will never use this company again let alone recommend them to anyone.
