T & E TRANSMISSIONS

Called another Transmission shop in Huntsville, (actually called 4) and was told different scenarios.  Either I had to bring the car in and after it was tore down they could give me a price but would start at 2200.  Some just said 2000.00 plus anything else they can't foresee.  Called T & E and was able to talk to the owner right away, told him what the car was doing and he give me a price of 1400.00.  I said "don't you need to see it or drive it?"  He said "No, I know what it is".  He went into this conversation of explaining what was wrong but I had no idea what he was talking about but he sounded like he knew what he was doing.  I brought the car on a Monday and left it, got a call on Wednesday to let me know it was ready.  I came late and the owner agreed to meet me.  He explained that there was something else broke that he didn't expect so he had to replace a cracked shell or something.  So I thought "ok, here we go with the price being jacked up," but he said "Total price 1400.00. "  I asked about the extra part but he said he only charges the price quoted, always!  Even if it cost him more.... Didn't know what to think about that.  Service was great, car runs great, people there were great!  I would go back anytime.
