+ -1 moreMike Jones started on the porch and would work only sporadically and for partial days. This went on for several months until he stopped coming altogether in Mar '07. He left the porch on partially completed. The center beam for the roof is only a 1"x4" (s/b 2x4 or 2x6) looks like something temporary with the other construction. The roof was left only covered with plywood sheeting and only partially nailed down. The siding that he removed was not replaced. The rock covered posts are falling apart. Everyday I have to re-stack the rocks that the cats knocked off. One of the workers broke my frost free faucet and even though Mike said that he was a master plumber, it was not repaired. When I called one of his references, they told me that he did not like to be questioned or criticized they were not kidding. He got angry with me and spoke poorly of me to my friends. I did not receive the work that was originally discussed nor is the work complete, don't fall victim to him.
Description of Work: Mike Jones and several college student laborers added an 8 x 16 foot covered porch with split stairway to my house. The supporting 4 x 4 posts were to be surrounded by rocks from to ground to the hand rail giving a craftsman look to the appearance. An initial deposit was paid, with Mike wanting more money almost every time he hammered a nail. The job was not completed and the final payment was not paid. For the work done he was greatly overpaid.
