Please patronize them for your moving needs if you are in their geographic location. Note: Our home is Gulf Shores, Alabama. We are movers for and move on the Gulf Coast, the panhandle, (Pensacola, Gulf Shores, Foley, Robertsdale, Fairhope Daphne and points in-between) and can travel to Birmingham and Atlanta (as well as other Gulf Coast Cities). Please note that we are movers that move, pack, un-pack, load and unload, organize and arrange as desired. We do a great job and our customers love how careful we are with their things. Our crews work steadily and quickly. They take a 5 minute break every hour and possibly a break for lunch. If it is really hot, there may be more breaks to make sure that the crew does not suffer from heat exhaustion or dehydration. We acquire trip rentals for your move, which allows us to provide a truck that is exactly the right equipment for your move. We will not bring a 26′ truck for your one bedroom apartment. We purchase the packing and moving supplies and make them available the day your service is provided. We have everything set up to make this as simple as possible. Joanna's helped us with unloads of truck from an out of state move earlier this year. Based on their work we chose them to move our whole house his time to a new home. The crew was different for this move but the two men were on time and got right to work. They took time to wrap the furniture with plastic and used blankets when needs to protect furniture. The distance of the move was less than a mile but no items were damaged. It took two trips but they were done in 8 hours. Joanna and Nathan came to our home to review the items to be moved and accurately estimated the time needed. We would recommend Joanna's .

The two young boys could barely carry the items. They struggled with every piece. they also came unprepared. no support straps or anything. Every piece has nicks and scratches everywhere. Very disappointed with this service.

It went great! It was Nathan and a helper. They were both extremely professional yet laid back. Great guys that made it fun. They were very quick and timely. The price was amazing. I moved from Daphne to Orange beach, which would have cost over 900.00 if I went with a big moving company. I would and will use them again. The total move plus travel took less than 2 hrs.

This was our 10th move. The move went quite well! Nathan came to our house and did preliminary walk-through and we gave him a list of the items we wanted moved. Nathan scheduled a time on the 31st and called me about 30 minutes prior to that arrival time to let me know they were on their way.
We have several pieces of antique furniture and 3 large pieces of furniture weighing around 200 lbs. The furniture was well wrapped in blankets and bubble wrap. There were 2 guys helping Nathan who were well trained. They dissembled the bookcases and china cabinet and reassemble them at the new location. There were no nicks, dents, or scratches in any of the furniture that we could detect. They placed the furniture exactly where we requested and even moved 2 extra pieces that we had originally planned on moving ourselves.
The staff was very polite and clearly knew what they were doing. They worked quickly. I would easily recommend them to others.

My initial impression was favorable because I had to change moving date 3 times and they accommodated me each time. After the move I was appalled when I began to find all the things done wrong.

"Several issues arose during the completion of this service that were beyond our control. There was a 6 month delay from the original scheduling and the actual service date. The scope of the work to be completed changed. Two entire rooms of this home were added to the service without prior notification. We provided a 26' truck (largest available) and a 6' X 12' trailer. In addition we loaded my personal truck and the family vehicles for this 500 mile move. To our knowledge there was NOTHING left in the home as I walked through with the real estate agents before departing. The client packed all items prior to our arrival. This packing was done in a very haphazard manner. None of the boxes were filled; most were not closed and had numerous items hanging out of them. Joanna's Movers advised this client that the packing of her own items would need to be completed in a certain way to avoid damage. It was very apparent that little of this advice was taken. Normally, we would have taken the time to repack these boxes before loading them on the truck. However, the new owner took possession of the home the next day which prevented any extra time being taken. Follow-up calls and emails have been attempted with this client, as with every client, and none have been returned. This slanderous review is the first mention of damage or any unsatisfactory results surrounding this move. In addition, we retained a signed invoice stating that all services were completed in a satisfactory manner and WITHOUT damage. We are a small business that charges by the hour, which resulted in an invoice that was higher than the original estimate. This could not be avoided based on the gross deviation from the services requested to the services performed."

Workers were prompt and professional. Overall the move went smooth and I was pleased. My only complaint was that one the beds were not installed properly and I had to re-do and there were a few minor scratches on furniture, but nothing major. Overall I would recommend them again.

It went extremely well. If I could give them an A+, I would. They were punctual, professional and just really nice guys. It is the first move we have ever had, and we have moved a lot, that the estimate was right on target with the final price. I have many antiques and they took very good care of them. I never saw them bump anything. We had three guys with Nathan being the head guy. They put the beds together and all the tables-all legs had been taken off for the previous move from Arkansas. They cheerfully moved furniture from one place to another, if I changed my mind. I would highly recommend Joanna's Movers. They are the best we have ever had.

The movers were real young guys. They didn’t seem like they had a lot of experience. They had a real good attitude and were real cooperative. They did everything I asked. They just needed a little more experience.

Please allow me to preface this statement by saying I have been a RN for 35 years, and as such, I am quite particular. Here is our story. Our goal was to move my elederly, severly dibilitated sister from Pensacola, Florida, to my home in Atlanta. Due to her condition, the move needed to occur quite rapidly. I located JoAnna's Movers on Angies List, and sent an email. That same day, I rec'd a response from Nathan. We then talked phone and I explained my challenges. He never missed a beat, asking appropriate questions, timely responses, and on top of it all, was professional, and compassionate.
We set up a date and time to meet in P'cola. He was there on time (acutally a bit early), and organzied the packing as well as any person in the milatary could have done...by the way, his father is retired milatary and is showed!
My sister can be a bit difficult, due to the pain involved in her disease process. Nathan (and Ryan, his asst), were extremely patient. Their level of detail for ensuring her possessions were safely and securely packed went above and beyond.
My hubby drove the truck, once Nathan had it packed. We were off....
Everything arrived unbroken, no scratches, and in pristine condition. If you EVER NEED A MOVER OR PACKER IN THE PENSACOLA MOBILE, GULF SHORES AREA....PLEASE USE THIS COMPANY...A LONG AS NATHAN IS A PART OF THE ORGANIZATION. He is amazing!

They were very professional, personable, and courteous! They even came back on another day to move some items that I was not sure where to place on their first visit. None of our items were damaged and I can say that they definitely took care of our things like they were their own. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any type of moving services!!
