Yes, I recommend this pro
$65
We have been so impressed with Grant Animal Clinic and I'm so glad that a friend recommended them.
The doctors and the staff are all courteous, professional, punctual, and the services are so much more affordable than the Huntsville vets we had seen previously.  We decided to try the clinic after adopting a dog from the local pound. She came with a $75 spay certificate, and I called several animal hospitals to check pricing. Some wouldn't accept the certificate at all (it was from Colbert County). Even those who would told us it wouldn't cover the total cost of the surgery and mandatory add-ons.
But at the Grant Clinic, our out-of-pocket cost after the certificate was minimal and our puppy received excellent care.
I was so impressed that I took our then-17 year old cat, Muffin, there for his geriatric cat check-up last summer. He had been losing weight, was lethargic, and we were worried. He turned out to have some sort of serious blood infection, so he got antibiotics and fortunately that took care of the problem. He's been going now every six months for a check up.
  • What I like best about the facility:
Punctual: I've never waited more than 10 minutes past the appointment time.
Flexible: Last fall, I got the appointment date mixed up and showed up the day AFTER the scheduled appointment.  They graciously saw Muffin anyway.
Professional: After Muffin had taken his antibiotics for 3 days, the doctor called to see how he was doing and then checked in again a few days later!
Affordable: It's the only vet hospital we've used in the past 5 years where you can get in and out the door for less than $100 visit - and have bloodwork and tests done.  And before the doctors do any tests or procedures, they carefully outline the expected benefits and explain the costs involved - without making you feel like a bad pet parent if you can't afford the most aggressive/expensive option.
The clinic is a 40-minute drive from our house and a lot of vets are closer.  It's not a fancy office and you don't see a lot of high-tech equipment. However, I have to say that Grant Animal Hospital is worth the drive and what the office lacks in amenities, it more than makes up for in professional medical care and a wonderful attitude.  I trust them with my animals.
