Although the guys were a little off schedule for us, they were not grossly off and their person who takes care of scheduling, etc. called to let us know that they were a bit behind schedule.  They arrived and got straight to work.  Counter tops were installed and cleaned within just a few hours.  Chris and his crew were very professional the entire time that they were in the house and careful to not track in gobs of yuck from outside.  They were also careful to ask our opinions if there was something that needed an opinion and cleaned up after themselves after they finished.  VERY professional!!! The  product was beautiful - next home we build, they are the choice for my granite!!!  I did not put the cost of the granite on the web, but they were the MOST reasonable around and I appreciate them trying to be reasonable and give people a break.

I got a reference for QBC granite off AngiesList and from a neighbor. We went to the QBC office in Grand Bay. The ladies in the office were the initial contact. They showed us some of the granite slabs and then set up an appointment for one of the owners to come out and measure for an estimate. Richard Collier came out the next afternoon and measured for our needs. About 24 hours later we got a call with the exact estimate. After comparing QBC's estimate with a previous estimate from Mobile Marble it was a no brainer. About a week later QBC had completed the manufacturing process of our countertops and was ready to install. They were supposed to be here about 10 am but got hung up at another job. called about 11:30 to say they would be here about 1:30. They did in fact arrive about 1:30 and went right to work. They tore out the old counter tops which included un-hooking the plumbing. The also had to remove three very large mirrors in order to remove the backsplash of my old counter tops. (one of these mirrors was 7 foot long) . Richard had apparently measured very accurately because everything fit perfectly. They had no sanding, cutting or polishing required on the job site. They had all three countertops/sinks installed and the mirrors reinstalled in about two hours. The left the job site cleaned up. Everybody I dealt with at QBC were very nice down to earth people. I have never had granite done before so this was a learning experience for me. Things to know: A. they will undo the plumbing but they don't reinstall the piping...I was told this during the estimate. B. price includes tear out and removal of old countertops. C. If a mirror has to be moved they will move it. D. these new counter tops were 3cm...lots of the big box places were 2cm thick. E. QBC's office and manufacturing facility are in the same building on HWY 90 in Grand Bay. If you are looking for a fancy showroom you won't find it here...this may have something to do with the good price quotes I got.
What I would do different....My old back splashes were 3.5 inches tall....I would ask for my new granite backsplashes to be 1/2 to 1 inch taller than my old ones to cover up any damage created when the old ones are tore off the wall.
Overall we were very pleased with this company and will likely call them when we get ready to do the kitchen counter tops. We have received a lot of compliments already. The owners of this company are also directly involved in the work which I believe has a major impact on the quality of the job. They are good hardworking people. Very easy to work with and the best thing...No surprises...they did what they said they would do at a fair price.

It’s a local company and it is probably a family deal. It’s a small galley kitchen but they were the cheapest. They are there when they tell you they are going to be and their estimate was right on the money. They measured my kitchen one day, I picked out the granite, and they installed it about a week later. They even installed the sink and polished it and everything. There was no mess because everything was already done. Several of my friends and family members have used them because they are the most reasonable in this area. Everything has gone up in price since Hurricane Katrina and granite is not a cheap stone to use. I was quite impressed by the variety that they had to choose from. Even the chain home improvement stores were more expensive then these people. I would definitely use them again
