A representative from Yellowhammer Roofing provided an estimate to us the same day we requested it.  In addition to completing the estimate, he met with us to discuss all of the work that was included and all of our options.  This was the big difference between Yellowhammer and the other companies that provided an estimate for us.  Most of the options he suggested were for work we wanted such as removing our old vents and installing a ridge vent.  The estimate from Yellowhammer was slightly higher than another company, but we felt that the better communication was worth the extra cost.
Once we decided to go with Yellowhammer, the work started withing two days and took two more days.  We have a large house with a very steep roof so removing and installing shingles was more difficult than it would have been with most houses.  After the work was completed, the crew cleaned up and the representative met with us again to make sure the work was completed as we expected.
The roof looks very good and after a hard rain there are no leaks so we are very satisfied.  The house cools faster with the ridge vent.
The clean up was not perfect but very good.  Yellowhammer said they could get up 90% plus of the nails and that was the case.  We found a few but not many.  The one caution I suggest is that, if you have a steep roof, move or cover or ask the roofers to move or cover anything the falling old shingles can damage.  In spite of efforts to stop them, old shingles can fall where they are not intended to.
We were pleased with the service from Yellowhammer and would contract with them again.

The contact was made from your list.  Response for roofing personnel to come to house was given, and performed on date and time Yellowhammer scheduled it.  When insurance representative came to make estimate., Yellowhammer was present to explain the roof he planned to install. Yellowhammer made considerable changes in roofing to make it more serviceable, including putting a ridge vent on my garage, which had none.  The roofers came as planned, and put the new roof on my house in one day!  The paper work to our mortgage company was provided by Yellowhamer.  The insurance company paid promptly, and a Warranty on Workmanshp was provided by Yellowhammer when all inspections were made. It was a joy to work with a company which does what it promises and exceeds what is really needed.  It was a pleasure to do business with Yellowhammer Roofing Company.

Jonathan was very courteous and prompt ; They went up on the roof and checked it over real good and answered all
my questions.

They were efficient and timely, completed the job in one day, and cleaned up after themselves.  I would recommend them to anyone.

I appreciated that they were honest about what needed to be done, and they did a good job with the repairs.  I would recommend them to anybody.

They started right at daybreak and were done by around 1PM -- completely removed the old shingles, installed new felt, installed a ridge (crown) vent, and installed new lifetime-warranted shingles. They cleaned up all debris. I only found one nail in the yard the next day! The roof is absolutely beautiful. Excellent work, very well done.

They were very good. They were fast. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. We told them we couldn't afford any extra and they had to stay within what the insurance was going to pay and they did. They put a sign in our yard and said that if we referred anybody, we would get $50. Somebody saw the sign and called them and said they saw it in our yard and he gave us a check for $50. The price was good. They were very, very responsive.
