They were prompt in coming out to give me an estimate. They were prompt to do this job in spite of equipment problems. They also did a good job of cleaning up the worksite. Additionally the owner of the company stopped by to check on how the job was being done.

We are going to use them again.

We were worried about our pine trees moving so much in storms so we had several companies come out and give us estimates to remove them. We ended up hiring Riley Tree Service. We had some trouble with them showing up on time or not showing up at all before and during our project. Once they got working, some of their techniques in getting a tree down were scary. They tied a rope to a couple, secured the rope to a tree I wanted to keep and pulled. When the pine started falling they dropped the rope and ran. Entertaining to watch but not very safe. They also let some of the pines fall on trees we were keeping damaging them beyond saving. It may not have been avoidable - it just did not look like they tried very hard to avoid those trees. They did tell us that some were in the way and had to be trimmed or taken down. They cleaned up the pine debris fairly well. Their cigarettes, drinks, and lunches were left for me to clean up though. Most of it was inside my children's playhouse.
We did have them come back months later to grind the stumps. One man came by himself to do that. His equipment broke off and on during the day and he would have to stop and repair it. There was some reason he could not have another piece brought out to him but I do not remember why. He did finish all 5 stumps in one day though and did a good job.
The trees have all been removed and stumps ground down. I would consider hiring them again as I believe they did a fair job. The guys were nice and the price was good. Just know they'll show up eventually (not when they say) and there will be some trash left for you to clean up on your own.

Mr Riley came out on a Saturday, looked at what I wanted done, and gave me a written estimate.  He said he could get to it the next week and he did show up the following Wednesday.  His crew did all the work with their own tools.  He also had a large truck with a claw that could pick up the debris and clippings.  His stump grinder was a small, compact unit and didn't leave any tire marks in the yard.
