My furnace stopped working. I looked in the phone book and called Mabe's Heating and Air Condition Contractors at 9:00 AM. They were here and had my furnace up and working by 11:00 AM and it only cost $55.00! When I called, they estimated the time of their arrival would be "around lunch or a little after." It was really cold and I was at home, so I was happy when they called to see if they could come a little earlier. The problem was a safety switch that had tripped due to lack of air flow. They reset the switch and had the furnace back up and running in no time. They explained what we needed to do to make sure there was sufficient air flow. It would have been really easy to say that it some other problem and charge me a lot of money, but instead, they showed me where the switch was located and explained what could have caused it to trip. They also told me where to find the model number and told me if it happened again, to call them so they could order the correct switch before they came out. I appreciated their honesty and willingness to try and save me another service call. Very nice people.....I have already recommended them to others! If you need Heating/AC service, give them a call.
