Lane's Construction

I thought the job was excellent. It wound up costing me a little more than I planned for but they did an excellent job. It took about 4 days not counting weekends to finish the roof. I would recommend them. My house is about 3000 sq. ft. so you can calculate that into the cost.

He guy was very excellent. The price was good. He was on time, very neat, very clean, very organised, he works very well with insurance companies and has a good rapport with them. He provides estimates when asked within 24 hours. We are very impressed with him.

Tim came out to give me an estimate and represented himself as someone who takes great pride in doing an excellent job. His price was high for the amount of work needed, but I decided I was willing to pay more to get a good job. (I've had too much experience lately with contractor's who just don't care!) The job was very simple. Build a wall to divide one large room into two rooms, add a few electrical outlets, move a light, add 3 lights and switches, and replace the rotten wood on the exterior of the house. One thing that was very important to me was to find someone who could do the entire job by himself and not have to have lots of subs doing this and that. He said he would do it all, except the electrical. He quoted me $2000.00 for his part and told me he could get the electrical work done (by a friend) for another $500.00. Of course, nothing was as he said it would be. He did not do all the work himself. There were several other people who had to come do little parts of the job and nothing was done to the level of quality that was acceptable. The wall that was built was not square, the electrical work ended up costing me $1300.00, and at least half of the rotten wood was not replaced. What was replaced was "patched" out of scrap lumber that was in our shed. After complaining, Tim did send some men back to finish replacing the rotten wood, but even at that, they did not do it all and what was done was not done well or completely. I definitely would never use Tim Lane again. That was $2000 that was thrown to the wind.

I was remodeling my house. He did not finish the work that he started. I paid him a lot of money and I didn't get what I paid for. I don't recommend him at all. The work was just shoddy. He just kept postponing the work and never completed the job. He never showed up on time. He and his guys would cut out early. They never had the equipment that they were supposed to have. They were very unprofessional.
