Delaneys Moving & Storage

Mixed results.  When providing my estimate for both moving and temporary storage, they were very good about helping my understand all of the details of what made up the estimate (packaging materials, labor, transportation, etc.) and working with me to help minimize the cost.  The office was very good to work with to arrange packing, storage and delivery.  I paid to have them pack up my house and they did a pretty poor job.  The movers at both my old and new house were good.  The only complaint is that there were some items that they forgot to re-assemble.  My biggest complaint is that I had several items damaged some time after they were loaded on the truck and then later removed from storage, including a relative new flat screen TV that had to be replaced.  I'm not sure if I would use them again, but would definitely shop around.

The company sent 2 young men, a day later than we had agreed to.  The moving men arrived with no way to take my credit card and they wouldn't take a check. They asked me to drive into town to a bank to get cash, which I didn't feel comfortable doing. 
After talking with their boss several times, we came to a solution.
The delivery of the furniture was done by one man who was very nice, but scraped up the entire hallway getting a bureau upstairs.  A cedar chest arrived with a hole punched in the back. 
In all it was a very stressful event.

The guys were great!  Showed up on time, had a nice new truck, shrink wrapped certain pieces of furniture, and were very careful with all the wall and furniture.  They were easy to work with and made our move a wonderful experience! I would definitely recommend this company.

I called Wes Moss to get an estimate. He arrived, on time, the next day. After checking the room he gave an estimate of $310.00, including all packing material and boxes. As I didn't know when the flooring was going to be done, I told him I would contact him later. He was very professional and helpful.
I called him this Monday, and his crew was here Wednesday. They were due at 1300. At 1245, Wes called to say the crew had been delayed, but if it was alright with us, would be here by 1500. His crew of 3 was here at 1445. After explaining what I needed boxed and where to move it, they were off and running.
My husband's physical therapist arrived while the guys were here, and commented, after they left, about how professional and polite all 3 were. I have to agree. They took the mattress off the guest bed and leaned it against the wall,  then stacked the boxes on the box springs! When the invoice was presented, it was less than the estimate!
My whole experience with this company was wonderful. They did the job, were friendly, efficient, professional, and out of here in about an hour. If I had to box it myself, I would still be boxing at Easter. I highly recommend this company, and will use them again when I need my kitchen computer desk cleared and boxed when it's time to redo that floor.

They damaged just about every piece of furniture they moved in. They scuffed up the walls. They tore us a Japanese Maple tree when they threw the ramp out of the truck. The took out some of the wall molding when putting the bed together. I have nothing nice to say about them.
