I was told by the owner that his partner had experience with hardwood. Owner came out and performed scope of work and gave me an estimate. Likable young man so I gave him a shot with direct statement this would lead to much further work with good performance. Did not have their own tools. They straight cut the hardwood and did not tongue/lace it in—just butted it up against the other boards. Left huge gaps and even the cuts were beveled and not straight. Was told I could putty or use wood glue. I have pics but unable to upload. They also do tree service but was never given a quote after I inquired about the bond. I suspect due to their age and experience they do not have a bond. I hope this review helps others at least know what questions to ask if they utilize the tree cutting service portion. I would not recommend on the hardwood side.
