Appliance Repair
The service men came out and the initial "diagnostics" charge was $75. They determined that the timer needed to be replaced. The timer was about $100 plus shipping and handling. They replaced the timer on the second service call, at $42.50 for 20 minutes of work. When I checked the dishes after the cycle, they were not clean. They came back a third time and decided that our problem wasn't the timer at all! It was some other expensive part. So after $200 in parts and service, three unsuccessful service calls and two condescending phone conversations, the guys at Eastern Shore Appliance quit trying to fix our dishwasher and suggested we buy a new one...FROM THEM OF COURSE! No refunds on the $100+ part we didn't need.
