They were good. They showed up on the day it was scheduled and at the time of the schedule. The guy came out in the morning and scouted the job out. Then, they went back for parts, came back with some help a couple of hours later, and finished it up that day. So, I was satisfied.

The receptionist when I called this morning said someone would be out "between 11:00 and noon or later," and that the technician would call me when he was a few minutes away from the house so I could meet him there. The "or later" part bothered me, but I understand that service calls can run longer than expected, and the work range may include some longer distances. However, when it was nearing 2:00 and nobody had called me, I started to worry that they had accidentally called a wrong number (my cell# is easy to flub). My husband, from out of town on business, called them to check.
Eventually I received a call around 2:15pm and went to the house, where the technician, Kevin McKey, met me. From the start, he was very attentive, from parking in the driveway instead of on the street (there's a "No Parking This Side of Street" sign in front of the house), to watching out for the indoor-only cat whenever he opened the front door.
Mr. McKey checked the compressor, opened it up, and found that some contacts had fused together (he said he suspected ants as the culprit). He replaced the contacts at a cost of $48 for parts. The bill included a miscellaneous EPA-related charge of $12, and 30 minutes of labor for approximately $80 or $90.
In addition, he got out a drill and installed the air intake cover that had been propped up against the wall for several months, at no charge. Although I provided the screws and the stepladder for him to stand on, I still consider this above and beyond assistance, because for me this would have been a two-person job.

Very enjyable experience with good workmen

We have negotiated a contract with them for annual service. They come up twice a year for tune ups. They also gave us a quote on some different brand A/C units. We are also looking into a programmable thermostat. We are going to go with them.

They are very reputable, and we have used them for ten years.
