I had repaired my chimney from water damage.  Did not want to go back with Masonite but the Hardie panels were too heavy for me to install.  On the recommendation of a neighbor, I called White Roofing.  A estimator was prompt and gave me the same dollar figure I had gotten from several contractors $2000.  Install felt, flashing, panels and paint cap.
The materials were delivered and the work crew arrived a day later.  While they were installing I noticed they had covered up a vent to the gas logs and had not installed new felt as per the bid.  They finished after dark and wanted to be paid then.  But, I refused saying I would need to inspect the work before I paid.  The vent was fixed, but not all of the caulking was finished.  On the cricket side of the chimney they had allowed the Hardie board to rest on the roof... which will wick moisture. 
I had them come out and trim the material to get it off the roof, but they damaged several shingles.  During this whole time, I would not pay until everything was fixed.  One of the owners came around 3PM and worked until dark fixing all the issues so that I would pay the bill.  The cap never did get painted.
I was not satisfied with the quality of the work and the way I was treated.  I will not be using them again.  I have waited to leave a review until my review was without emotion.

I liked the price, promptness and professionalism. They also recommended some construction that none of the others did and I got at least seven other bids before going with them. He removed a cripple that was unnecessary for ventilation and added a ridge vent. He made a smart suggestion and did the carpentry necessary for it. Overall we were very satisfied with White Roofing. He was on time.

We knew it had to be replaced and that was what we asked them to do as we were trying to sell our townhouse at the time. I was satisfied with what they did. We did have an issue when a big rain came in but they paid for everything to be fixed. So that was not a problem, and they were fast about getting it done. I would probably still use them again. They just have a great reputation locally. They weren’t the cheapest.

Elliott gave us a fair and accurate estimate of what had to be done to correct a bad situation created by another roofer. He and his crew were great. They did what they said they would do, how they said they would, when they said they would. We couldn't ask for any better.

Would we use them again and recommend again? YES DEFINTELY!!!!

I was referred to White by my realtor and they were amazing. I had them do a pre-purchase rod inspection of our home and subsequently used them to repair the issues they found. Price was totally reasonable and they are the utmost professionals. We found another roof leak 3 months later and they came out and fixed it for free. I will be using them again for all roofing needs.

We have cathedral ceilings in the entire house except the bedrooms and bathrooms. They had Hispanic workers. David’s son was the foreman and he left the workers here unsupervised. They dropped shingles on the cathedral ceilings and nail heads were all over the ceiling. They didn't do anything to protect my house. They left mud and sand dust everywhere in repairing the ceiling from the damage. Paint had shattered off the nail heads and was all over the place. I told David’s son and he said they got someone out here to fix it, but this resulted in more mess. They came out they did some scrapping and fixing the holes. That wasn’t enough because it needed screws. They did not put drop piles anywhere. David said it’s an older house and we’re not going to put new ceilings in your house and I said I didn’t ask you to put new ceilings in. I just wanted my ceilings the same as they were before they did my roof. We had to battle with them, but they did not pay for the damages to my ceiling or furniture. I didn't ask them to, but they did not pay for cleaning or anything. They should have paid for cleaning because I had expensive rugs and draperies.

Crews were here on time with five workers. Cleaned premises after first day and after job completed. Answered all questions I had.

David S. White Roofing Co., Inc. in Fairfield, Alabama. My experience was fantastic. They were very professional, had a good price, good quality work, they are thorough and cleaned up what fell and followed up well after the project was over.

The company was professional and completed the work as promised during the installation. 
The problem began when we had a leak approximately two years ago. We called the company at least 4 different times over the period of two weeks. Twice we never got a response and when we did we were told they had other work ahead of us. They would not even give us an estimated time frame for a call back.I told them I was going to make a posting on Angie's List if they did not come out to repair the roof. They sent out two different people the next day, to repair the roof. It took them less than 15 minutes to fix the problem. The roof has recently developed a leak in the same spot. We have called the roofing company 4 times and left messages and not received a follow up call. We also sent a certified letter, since we are close to the end of our 5 year warranty. There was also no response to the letter. We are posting this in hopes that no one else has to go through this frustration to get warranty repair work done.

Overall quality is excellent.  They arrived on time and completed the tasks as outlined in our contract.  Highly professional. Came back to fix one little drain issue.  Would hire them again.
