I have been taking my 8 yr. old poodle, Molly, to West Gate since I adopted her more than a year ago. In addition to being a and quot;seniorand quot; now, she suffers from epilepsy that was not under control when I adopted her. Dr. Stacey has gone above and beyond to determine the exact recipe of medications to control Molly's seizures, avoid organ damage from medication toxicity, and still provide optimum quality of life.
Dr. Stacey took the time to consult a doggy neurology specialist and come up with the ideal mix of meds and now Molly is like a different dog. She has more energy and vitality (we also discovered she was low on thyroid) and her seizures are suppressed the best they have ever been.
After a particularly severe cluster of seizures, we made medication changes and Dr. Stacey called me at home, in teh evening, to ask how my little poodle was doing. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and concern she shows her patients, and her bedside manner and personality are awesome.
I have two other dogs and have also seen Dr. Carter and Dr. Kuhlmann for various issues and regular annual and preventative care. Everyone at West Gate is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I must especially comment on the great team of vet assistants at West Gate. They and the front-desk staff make sure that place runs very smoothly and they get you in for care very fast.
I have been taking all my pets to West Gate for the last two years and will not go anywhere else for the care of my beloved fur children. Exceptional care, excellent staff and very reasonable prices!

We showed up a little early to complete paperwork. At our appointment time we were promptly greeted by an assistant veterinarian, who took the basic information and explained what was going to happen. Our veterinarian, Dr. Stacy, then came and took a very detailed physical, administered shots, and microchipped our puppy. They explained everything along the way, made recommendations (ear plucking) to be done at other businesses. They were extremely thorough and professional. Everyone there seems to genuinely love animals and care for them.

We boarded our dog for 3 nights, and also had her bathed. She looked great when we picked her up!

We have been using Westgate Veterinary Hospital since 2006. Dr. Carter, Dr. Roberts, Dr. Stacey and Dr Kuhlmann take EXCELLENT care of our dogs and cat. Also, their supporting staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. We have never been treated poorly or as if our questions were a bother to them. Anytime we call they have patiently answered any question and are just as helpful as can be.

They quickly get our animals in on an emergency basis and are affiliated with an on call service which gives us peace of mind.

As for price, they are extremely reasonable!!

*$91.00 cost was for the surgical removal of a deep cyst and teeth cleaning.

Both animals were promptly seen by Dr. Adam Carter and his Vet-Techs. Their calm and soothing professional manner de-stressed both of our dogs. Blood and stool samples taken quickly and lab results provided in one business day. Checkout was quick with rest of staff. Dr. Carter is now our family veterinarian. There are several good vets in Enterprise, AL but we feel that Dr. C. Adam Carter has the best people and technical skills.
