Hometown Lenders, LLC

We contacted Hometown lenders to try to refinance our home using the harp program. We were trying to keep the business local to help local business and our community but what a waste of time! We started the process filled out all the paper work and waited for them to call back. A month later my wife gets a voice mail from the lady that was helping us through the process saying i'm sorry that I haven't been in touch but we had a Family emergency. My wife calls her back a few WEEKS later to ask what the status is and when we could expect to close on the refi. She said, well we are still trying to get our login to the fanny may system?. Well this has been almost 2 months now I might add. I called them back another month later and asked to speak with the manager. The so called manager pulls our file, which probably has 2 pounds of dust on it. She said we are waiting for approval from the lender and I will personally Call you back by the end of the week. That was a month ago! This place has our personal information now and I'm not sure they are even really legit. The next real-estate bubble will bust before we get a refi from this business. Maybe they need to stick to car title pawn, oh that's probably the other door.
