A horrible experience from start to finish. I only wish the owner of the property could know how poorly this company treats their clients. We moved out in August and still the house remains unrented and I would guess in large part because of the attitude and arrogance of Mr. Hoffman.
Description of Work: We rented a home in Daphne, Alabama with a one year lease. When we moved in the carpets were in terrible shape; the previous renters had a dog who was not house trained. We were told the carpets had been cleaned and perhaps they were. About a month later, all of the stains began to re-appear. We had them cleaned ourselves and yet the stains were so bad, they kept returning. We moved out of the house at the end of our lease; we had a cleaning crew come in and clean the house and we patched all the walls where we had hung pictures and made sure the day before we moved, the yard was raked, cleaned, trimmed and in better shape than we received it. We travel on business a good deal so we were hardly ever there; no children; not pets; probably for an owner, the best kind of renters; they never had to worry about rent being on time as we set it up to be automatically drafted each month. We kept waiting for our deposit check (nearly 3 months). We were told it was mailed but we never received it and finally had to have a family member go over to the management office to pick up a check as we now live about 5 hours away. Michael Hoffman at the management company deducted for carpet cleaning and for lawn service which we clearly had done and there was no reason to not give us back the full deposit. When we addressed this with him, he was both rude and unprofessional and had no basis or justification for doing it. I would advise anyone looking to rent or to have their property managed in the Baldwin/Mobile county area to stay away from this business and they cleary are not dedicated to service and results as they state on their website: www.olebay.com.
