ADDITIONAL CONTACT: RICHARD BENEDICT. Benedict Paint has been in business since 1991 first in LasVegas NV, and since 2005 in Daphne Al. My dad Richard is now retired and I am proud to carry on his reputation. I are proud of the job we do. We are metiulous, clean & customer orientated. Rich says we are there to service the customer We offer free estimates. We also offer a 10% discount to Angie's list customers.

Showed up on time on the appointed day with all necessary tools, supplies and paint. Fully tarped the area below the project. Finished in less than a day. The paint perfectly matched the color and sheen so that I did not have to paint the entire ceiling. Cleanup was excellent.

It was a good experience. Richard Benedict and his son are knowledgable, courteous, and punctual. They also cleaned up after themselves when the job was over. I was very happy with the job they did and am using them for interior painting.

The services were adequate. Mr. Benedict was a very nice person and they were able to complete the job satisfactorily. The work they did was professional and we would consider using them again. They were clear on their price and there we no issues with that. There was a natural disaster that flooded some people out so the job was delayed a little bit which was alright. They sent 2 people out to do the job and they worked hard. The cleanup was good and I couldn’t tell they had been there and the place looked real nice.

Mr. Benedict removed the wall paper and repaired the walls for paint. He and his son painted the rooms. They did an excellent job. I had gotten a lower estimate from someone who wanted to float the edges of the wall paper and paint over it. Mr. Benedict advised to remove it which is what I wanted to do. He and his son are very fine people and know what they are doing. Mr. Benedict made some very good suggestions concerning color, type of paint, etc. I recently got a quote for other rooms in my house. Mr. Benedict gave me the quote, answered my questions and made some suggestions about the job. However, it is my understanding he is retired and his son will carry on the business.

We couldn't have been happier with the job performed!
We called and set an appt for an estimate to which we received a response in the same day. Prior to this date, we had trouble with paint not sticking to the exterior house from other paint jobs and we wanted to be sure he had the experience and knowledge to handle this job. Once he had visited the house, he gave us several recommendations on colors and told us exactly the right kind of paint product to use that assured the paint would stick to the exterior. He also knew we were planning to sell the house and offered other suggestions from his years of experience. We were very pleased with his prompt estimate, professionalism and recommendations. We hired him and due to weather conditions the painting was delayed a few weeks. But once he started the job it was completed promptly in the agreed time frame and we deferred to his considerable judgement for the color of the shutters. The house looks better than it did when it was brand new! His choice of color for the shutters was PERFECT! In all honesty, I think that his suggestions and color choices helped us to sell this house faster than we anticipated. Every one of our neighbors who saw the house remarked on how great it looks and I believe Richard even got a few more customers from his work at our house (and if not he certainly received our praise and recommendation).

They did a good job. I am sort of confused because the contract was for two people for a whole day. He didn't do the laundry room connected to the kitchen, I'm not sure if he would have had time to do that room if he would have the whole day with two people.

We were putting our house not the market for sale on rather short notice. Benedict paints was professional, punctual and a good source of information. They advised us on difficult problems. They went out of their way to help us paint a rec room and bathroom, plus touch ups thru out the house. They fixed peeling wall paper. They stripped wall paper. They painted over new (orange - teenager rec room) wall paper. Even had real estate advice due to spouse being a realtor. Very helpful.

Mr. Benedict provided possibly the best looking exterior paint job that I have ever paid for. The paint was evenly and thickly applied.
His selection of colors (per our agreement) was most complementary to a really humble little bungalow. He made it look as good as it's going to look.
He was reliable, respectable, and polite. There was some minor splashing on the shrubs, but a minimum of mess all around.
There is some follow up work to be done: we had agreed initially that he would remove all the exterior cables that were hung under the eves almost all the way around the house, as he was painting. And that has yet to be completed. Most of this was associated with unused satellite or cable systems.
I will update this review to indicate completion of this item.
There is some exterior door painting that has yet to be completed (and the corresponding caulking) but the doors aren't completely installed yet.

Finally, I do feel that Mr. Benedict was looking out for my best interests while doing his painting. He pointed out a number of maintenance issues that need to be addressed, and one very serious electrical problem. We appreciate his personal service and would hire him again for our exterior painting needs.
After I finish renovating the interior of this home, I will post a review as to his interior painting, wallpapering, drywall repair and resurfacing skills, which I assume will be just as wonderful!

Richard and Rick (father and son) were prompt and dependable. The work was done in a reasonable time frame. They took time to check with me on my satisfaction with the job as it progressed. Richard suggested some additional items that would help the look of the house. They were very easy to work with.

They worked very hard at removing horrible existing wallpaper, and borders. They were very respectful of the mess that removal made and of home space that wasn't involved. Very good about going behind themselves to double-check all ceilings and walls for professional level of patching and painting.

They came each day schedule, on time and ready to work. They worked steadily and go the job done in the amount of time they'd estimated. They have pride in their work and were as excited as me about the wonderful changes the paint created in my condo. :) They also worked on a bathroom that had 30 yr old wallpaper and wallpaper boarder. They "mudded" it and then painted over the wallpaper....and it looks really nice. I would hire then again for sure. And, as a side note, he was kind enough to put in new lights in the super, super, high ceilings while he was up there painting. What a great idea he had and a huge help it was!! He is full of good ideas to help you get your home where you'd like it to be.

Richard came to my home to inspect the requirements of the job. He provided an estimate (for what I found to be a reasonable amount) and stuck to it.
The refinishing required dismounting of the shutters and vents, sanding, and staining. Richard's knowledge paid off as he identified an advanced maritime product (Sikkens Cetol SRD) that would outperform the more popular stains and polyurethanes. The shutters now look better than they did when the home was built. We believe this product will slow the bleaching effect of the sun, and we will be able to increase the period between stains. He also re-painted the mounting hardware and hinges. His team did a good job of clearing pine straw from the roof and washing the skylights.
